Otto Bluh was a great admirer of Ernst Mach’s and contributed a number of papers to Machian scholarship. It is believed that he wrote this skit around 1966, perhaps to coincide with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Mach’s death and most likely for Bluh’s own amusement, as it was never published. It consists of an imaginary conversation in pseudo-Viennese dialect, between Mach and his friend, Josef Popper-Lynkeus based on the questionable tale of Mach’s conversion to atomism. Dans un contexte de stagnation de leur consommation, il semble judicieux de tenter de comprendre quels en sont les freins. Vitalism was abandoned already for a long time ago, yet the impression that animate beings differ in some fundamental way from inanimate objects continues to thrive. Here, we argue that scale free patterns, found throughout nature, present convincing evidence that this demarcation is only imaginary. Splitting Magnitude Response into Real and Imaginary Parts

The determination of real and imaginary parts from magnitude responses is studied for causal linear time-invariant systems having monotonic impulse responses. It is demonstrated that the problem can be interpreted as a special filtering task in the Mellin transform domain having a diffuse magnitude response bounded by the magnitude responses of the filters corresponding to zero and maximum imaginary parts prescribed by the Kronig-Kramers relations. Discrete-time filters processing geometrically sampled magnitude responses are designed for determining the real and imaginary parts. Testing results are presented verifying the performance of the filters.

During the period 1995-1999, the Sala Parpalló was located in the Beneficència Cultural Center of Valencia, sharing the place with the spaces of the Museum of Prehistory, the Museum of Ethnology and the IVEI. In the investigation it exposed a technical file for each of the 57 self-produced exhibitions carried out in the period and a selection of the studies that accompanied them: the files are displayed chronologically according to the procedures used. Este trabajo analiza la representación crítica del turismo español construida por Luis García-Berlanga en "París-Tombuctú". Sirviéndose tanto del viaje interior del francés protagonista como de la visita de un grupo de turistas checos, el filme aprovecha la toma de contacto de estos personajes con la geografía valenciana y sus habitantes para parodiar tanto la ambigüedad con que los españoles se relacionan con lo extranjero como las contradicciones persistentes en la gestión turís- tica en nuestro país.
