This article analyses the impact of the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games on national integration and national identity in Spain with respect to the conflict of interests that developed around the Games between the centre and Catalonia. We argue that polarisation along nationalist lines was limited in large part because national identity in Spain today is not predominantly a unitary and exclusive entity. An Efficient Method for the Visualization of Spectral Images Based on a Perception-Oriented Spectrum Segmentation

We propose a new method for the visualization of spectral images. It involves a perception-based spectrum segmentation using an adaptable thresholding of the stretched CIE standard observer colormatching functions. This allows for an underlying removal of irrelevant channels, and, consequently, an alleviation of the computational burden of further processings. Principal Components Analysis is then used in each of the three segments to extract the Red, Green and Blue primaries for final visualization. A comparison framework using two different datasets shows the efficiency of the proposed method.

Associations between changes in physical fitness and psychological difficulties status among Norwegian adolescents

Abstract Objectives To investigate the associations for one-year changes in cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and body mass index, with psychological difficulties status in adolescents. Methods Norwegian 14-15-year-olds (n = 925) participated in data collection at two time points separated by one year. Psychological difficulties were assessed via the Strengths and Difficulties questionnaire and data from follow-up serve as the dependent variable. Makulas pigmenta optisko blīvumu ietekmējošie faktori skolas vecuma bērniem

Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 37 lapaspusēm un satur 14 attēlus, 6 tabulas un 71 atsauci uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis bija noskaidrot makulas pigmenta optisko blīvumu skolas vecuma bērniem Mārupes pamatskolā un tā saistību ar ķermeņa masas indeksu un citiem faktoriem. Pētījumā piedalījās 253 bērni vecumā no 7 līdz 14 gadiem (vidējais vecums 9 gadi), kuriem tika noteikts makulas pigmenta optiskais blīvums ar Macular Pigment Screener iekārtu, kas balstās uz hetereohromatisko flikera fotometriju. Bakalaura darbā netika pierādīta statistiski nozīmīga saistība starp makulas pigmenta optisko blīvumu un ķermeņa masas indeksu, dzimumu un varavīksnenes krāsu.

It is assumed that linear transformations of the components of Y can be the basis for useful interpretation whereas the components of X have strong individual identity. Abstract Every company has a different structure of balance sheet. Some of the companies have more liabilities than equity. Considering the industry or debt-to-equity ratio, the balance sheet structure affects the company profitability measured by DuPont system.
