Network-based H∞ output feedback control for uncertain stochastic systems

This paper investigates the problem of network-based Floc, output feedback control for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems. A novel model is proposed to describe the systems taken into two sides of communication channels in the network environment, which is more general than one side of communication channel. The design procedure of observer-based controller is presented, which, guarantees the asymptotic stability in the mean square of the resulting closed-loop system with an H-infinity performance. Optimizing the level of service quality of a bike-sharing system

Public bike-sharing programs have been deployed in hundreds of cities worldwide, improving mobility in a socially equitable and environmentally sustainable way. However, the quality of the service is drastically affected by imbalances in the distribution of bicycles among stations. We address this problem in two stages. First, we estimate the unsatisfied demand (lack of free lockers or lack of bicycles) at each station for a given time period in the future and for each possible number of bicycles at the beginning of the period. This paper aims to outline the benefits justifying a tailored approach to System Dynamics (SD) modelling in the public sector, to improve performance and foster decision makers' accountability. The need of combining an ‘internal’ with an ‘external’ perspective (in respect to decision makers) in developing SD models is claimed.
