This theoretical review reflects on the development and application of the Integrative Pedagogical model as well as the Connective model investigating the organisation of learning in the interface between educational institutions and workplaces. The article explores the aspects that these two models emphasise, and identifies similarities and differences between them. Key studies on these approaches were reviewed to accomplish the task. Tiivistelmä Muuttuvan työelämän tarpeet ohjaavat entistä painokkaammin kehittämään yhteistyötä korkeakoulutuksen ja työelämän välillä sekä vahvistamaan jatkuvan oppimisen kulttuuria. Yksilötasolla paremmat yleiset työelämätaidot avaavat uusia työllistymismahdollisuuksia ja tukevat opiskelijaa opitun soveltamisessa. Dokonano krytycznej oceny mitów i negatywnych stereotypów narosłych wokół fali emigracji. Omówiono konsekwencje przyjęcia Konwencji Dublińskiej (1990) oraz jej nowelizacji (2003 i 2014), gdzie zostały określone zasady postępowania w pro-cesie o status uchodźcy. Student development theories (SDT) focus on the growth and change occurring in students while attending higher education. In this article, we propose that the application of student development theories supports holistic development in international students and helps us understand international students’ academic success and integration. We outline a combination of student development models, derived from SDT, and interact them with concepts from international student mobility and migration (ISM). These models, when applied to student services, may assist higher education institutions (HEIs) in designing student services for international students enhancing academic success and integration.

Internationalization at home (IaH) policies in higher education institutions (HEIs) are rarely negotiated with and by students. Therefore, students’ takes on such policies could be missed opportunities for HEIs. This qualitative study investigates international and local students’ negotiations and meaning-making of integration and IaH as stated by institutional policies. The article traces the evolution of the publishing practice in the field of translations undertaken by Alberto Mondadori after the Second World War. Through some letters of the publisher to his collaborators, the analysis highlights the nature of his choices, which were often motivated not only by the desire to publish complete works, but also by personal and political reasons, such as the desire of self‑affirmation, to introduce himself as a “new publisher in a new era”, in clear antithesis with the past.
