La fidélité des consommateurs : une tentative de synthèse
2008
The aim of this article is to offer a synthesis of a very important concept in marketing. After having analysing the definitions of loyalty and their evolution, an overview of theoritical explanation is presented and four main processes based on different theories are identified. The aim is to understand how these theories can be integrated in a general model, in order to open up new avenues of thought.
Action simulation in the human brain: Twelve questions
2013
Although the idea of action simulation is nowadays popular in cognitive science, neuroscience and robotics, many aspects of the simulative processes remain unclear from empirical, computational, and neural perspectives. In the first part of the article, we provide a critical review and assessment of action simulation theories advanced so far in the wider literature of embodied and motor cognition. We focus our analysis on twelve key questions, and discuss them in the context of human and (occasionally) primate studies. In the second part of the article, we describe an integrative neuro-computational account of action simulation, which links the neural substrate (as revealed in neuroimaging …
Changes in Drop Out Intentions: Implications of the Motivational Climate, Goal Orientations and Aspects of Self-Worth across a Youth Sport Season
2021
The main objective of this work was to study the motivational antecedents of the intention to drop out of youth sport from the postulates of the achievement goal theory (AGT), placing special emphasis on the motivational climate that coaches create in their teams. Specifically, we analyzed whether changes in the perception of the motivational climate between the beginning and the end of the season predicted changes in players’ goal orientations, whether these, in turn, predicted changes in self-esteem and contingent self-esteem, and finally, whether the latter predicted the intention to drop out. Participants in the study were 552 players (Mage = 11.23, SD = 1.14), who completed the questio…
Symptoms of psychological ill-being and school dropout intentions among upper secondary education students : a person-centered approach
2020
A person-centered approach was used to identify the profiles of symptoms of psychological ill-being among Finnish upper secondary education students (N = 2889); to examine whether gender and educational track (i.e., academic or vocational) are associated with these profiles; and to investigate the role of profiles in school dropout intentions. Using latent profile analysis, one asymptomatic profile (normative, 79.2%) and three symptomatic profiles (internalizing symptoms, 9.1%; externalizing symptoms, 9.1%; and comorbid symptoms, 2.6%) were identified. Boys in the vocational track were overrepresented in the externalizing-symptoms profile, whereas girls in both tracks were overrepresented i…

The Active Nature of the Soul in Sense Perception: Robert Kilwardby and Peter Olivi
2010
This article discusses the theories of perception of Robert Kilwardby and Peter of John Olivi. Our aim is to show how in challenging certain assumptions of medieval Aristotelian theories of perception they drew on Augustine and argued for the active nature of the soul in sense perception. For both Kilwardby and Olivi, the soul is not passive with respect to perceived objects; rather, it causes its own cognitive acts with respect to external objects and thus allows the subject to perceive them. We also show that Kilwardby and Olivi differ substantially regarding where the activity of the soul is directed to and the role of the sensible species in the process, and we demonstrate that there ar…
Adopción en casos especiales y unidad del status filiationis en el derecho italiano: ¿cómo repercute en el plano sucesorio?
2022
In the Italian legal system, there has recently been recognition by the Constitutional Court in adoptions in particular cases of the existence of civil relations between the adoptee and the relatives of the adopter, thus equalizing the margins of protection of minors, regardless of the situations of fact or law from which the new status of the child originated. This jurisprudential work is full of considerable systematic reflections and is intended to be applied not only to the hypothesis of adoption by same-sex couples, but also to all those cases in which a state of semi-permanent abandonment or cyclical abandonment occurs. Notwithstanding the negative value directed at the forms of surro…

The expert group adopted a nominal groups approach and voting system to elicit and structure priority issues in planning interventions and implementation intentions research. Forty-two priority issues identified in initial discussions were…
