The response of optical frequency-domain reflectometry-based temperature sensors is here investigated in harsh environments (high temperature, high radiation dose) focusing the attention on the impact of the fiber coating on the sensor performances in such conditions. Our results demonstrate that the various coating types evolve differently under thermal treatment and/or radiations, resulting in a small (<5%) change in the temperature coefficient of the sensor. The identified procedure, consisting of a prethermal treatment of the fiber at its maximum coating operating temperature, is here verified up to 150 °C for higherature acrylate and up to 300 °C for polyamide coating. Though computerized sytems now offer a wide range of options for accessing and displaying text or text-picture information, little is known about their effects on the user's cognitive processes. In this paper, we investigate the effect of a computer-specific display (pop-up window) which consists in displaying some pieces of information in windows that appear only under user's action. Experiments were carried out to compare the pop-up window device with other devices used on paper. The experiments dealt with text only as well as text-picture documents and involved various tasks. Results are discussed from a theoretical and a practical point of view.

This study aimed to translate the modified Group Environment Questionnaire (GEQ) and the Youth Sport Environment Questionnaire (YSEQ) into Norwegian, examine the factor structure and reliability of the scales through independent clusters model confirmatory factor analysis (ICM-CFA) and exploratory structural equation modeling (ESEM), and examine differential item functioning (DIF) as a function of sex. La sala doveva avere una copertura sostenuta da pilastri di legno, che portavano le travi e i solai degli ambienti sovrastanti. Aquesta pràctica ha esdevés habitual donat la presència d’aquiescència, entesa com la tendència a respondre de manera afirmativa amb independència del contingut dels ítems. Existeix abundant evidència a la literatura que el seu ús genera variància de mètode, fent aparéixer efectes de mètode no associats amb els trets d’interés. AbstractThe paper focuses on the issue of creating equivalence links in the domain of bilingual computational lexicography. The existing interlingual links between plWordNet and Princeton WordNet synsets (sets of synonymous lexical units – lemma and sense pairs) are re-analysed from the perspective of equivalence types as defined in traditional lexicography and translation. Special attention is paid to cognitive and translational equivalents. A proposal of mapping lexical units is presented.
