Koherentās apdzīvotības oscilācijas atomos bez supersīkstruktūras

2015

Darbā tiek pētīta atomāra ansambļa uzvedība, ja tas atrodas divu lāzeru ar mazliet atšķirīgām frekvencēm laukā. Šādā situācijā tiek ierosinātas koherentās apdzīvotības oscilācijas - ansamblī notiek periodiskas, nerimstošas svārstības, kuru periods sakrīt ar lāzeru frekvenču starpībai atbilstošo periodu. Apskatot divu līmeņu sistēmu, skaitliski tiek iegūta ansambļa apdzīvotību un koherences atkarība no laika un tad, izmantojot Bloha sfēru, tiek analizēta šo atrisinājumu atkarība no abu lāzeru amplitūdu attiecības un abu lāzeru frekvenču nobīdes no atomārās pārejas rezonanses frekvences. J1=0→J2=1 pārejas gadījumā skaitliski tiek iegūta fluorescences signālu ar 3 ortogonālām polarizācijām atk…

Maternal Employment and Happiness: The Effect of Non-Participation and Part-Time Employment on Mothers' Life Satisfaction

2009

"In contrast to unemployment, the effect of non-participation and parttime employment on subjective well-being has much less frequently been the subject of economists' investigations. In Germany, many women with dependent children are involuntarily out of the labor force or in part-time employment because of family constraints (e.g., due to lack of available and appropriate childcare). Using data from the German Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) Study, this paper analyzes the impact of involuntary familyrelated non-participation and part-time employment on mothers' life satisfaction. Controlling for unobserved individual fixed effects, I find that both the pecuniary effects (foregone earnings) an…

An overdetermined problem for the anisotropic capacity

2015

We consider an overdetermined problem for the Finsler Laplacian in the exterior of a convex domain in \({\mathbb {R}}^{N}\), establishing a symmetry result for the anisotropic capacitary potential. Our result extends the one of Reichel (Arch Ration Mech Anal 137(4):381–394, 1997), where the usual Newtonian capacity is considered, giving rise to an overdetermined problem for the standard Laplace equation. Here, we replace the usual Euclidean norm of the gradient with an arbitrary norm H. The resulting symmetry of the solution is that of the so-called Wulff shape (a ball in the dual norm \(H_0\)).

El Estatuto de los Trabajadores Autónomos: cuadro comparativo entre las diversas propuestas articuladas en España

2005

This article draws comparisons between the various different proposals put forward for the creation of a self-employment law in Spain. The first of these proposals has been drawn up by an Expert Committee appointed by the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs and the other three, by organizations representing self-employed workers in Spain: the Professional Union of Self-employed Workers (Unión Profesional de Trabajadores Autónomos - UPTA), the Professional Association of Self-employed Workers and Businesspeople (Asociación Profesional de Empresarios y Trabajadores Autónomos - ASNEPA) and the National Federation of the Association of Self-employed Workers (Federación Nacional de la Asoc…

Anisotropic elliptic equations with gradient-dependent lower order terms and L^1 data

2023

<p>We prove the existence of a weak solution for a general class of Dirichlet anisotropic elliptic problems such as $ \mathcal Au+\Phi(x, u, \nabla u) = \mathfrak{B}u+f $ in $ \Omega $, where $ \Omega $ is a bounded open subset of $ \mathbb R^N $ and $ f\in L^1(\Omega) $ is arbitrary. The principal part is a divergence-form nonlinear anisotropic operator $ \mathcal A $, the prototype of which is $ \mathcal A u = -\sum_{j = 1}^N \partial_j(|\partial_j u|^{p_j-2}\partial_j u) $ with $ p_j > 1 $ for all $ 1\leq j\leq N $ and $ \sum_{j = 1}^N (1/p_j) > 1 $. As a novelty in this paper, our lower order terms involve a new class of operators $ \mathfrak B $ such…

Casi di corruzione nei Rerum Gestarum libri di Ammiano Marcellino

2020

The paper provides food for thought on the issue of corruption in Ammianus Marcellinus’ History pointing out the need for revising the criteria of valuation of this phenomenology in order to assess it in modern conceptual terms. As a consequence Ammianus’ Res Gestae have to be analysed moving from the political, economic and social contexts as they stem not only from historiographical sources, but also from the Codes, enabling scholars to test the level of bias of the historian who was stubbornly anchored to the values of tradition that, in his opinion, coincided with the ordo’s privileges.

‘Philonikia’ e ‘timoria’ nel ‘logos’ di Ermocrate a Gela e nell’‘Olimpico’ di Lisia

2016

The aim of the paper is to underline that some themes are both in the logos  of Hermocrates of Syracuse in Gela and in the Olimpic Oration of Lysias. Purposely, two of these are the theme of philonikia , which Thucydides defined «insane», and the theme of timoria , when the revenge is legitimate and advantageous at same time. The use of such slogans by the Attic orator (even if his father was from Syracuse), testifies the desire to evoke the feeling pansikeliote awaked during the Peace of Gela, in order to spread these themes and values in Mainland Greece too.

Local uniqueness of the solutions for a singularly perturbed nonlinear nonautonomous transmission problem

2020

Abstract We consider the Laplace equation in a domain of R n , n ≥ 3 , with a small inclusion of size ϵ . On the boundary of the inclusion we define a nonlinear nonautonomous transmission condition. For ϵ small enough one can prove that the problem has solutions. In this paper, we study the local uniqueness of such solutions.

Backing out of private pension provision - Lessons from Germany

2012

Financing pensions in the EU is a challenge. Many EU countries introduced private pension schemes to compensate declining public pension levels due to reforms made necessary by demographic change. In 2001, Germany introduced the Riester pension. Ten years after introduction the prevalence rate of this voluntary private pension scheme approximates 37 %. However, numerous criticisms raise doubts that the market for Riester products is transparent. Using the 2010 German SAVE survey, this article investigates terminated and dormant Riester contracts on a household level for the first time. Respectively 14.5 and 12.5 % of households who own or have owned a Riester contract terminated or set dorm…

A differential equation approach to implicit sweeping processes

2019

International audience; In this paper, we study an implicit version of the sweeping process. Based on methods of convex analysis, we prove the equivalence of the implicit sweeping process with a differential equation, which enables us to show the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the implicit sweeping process in a very general framework. Moreover, this equivalence allows us to give a characterization of nonsmooth Lyapunov pairs and invariance for implicit sweeping processes. The results of the paper are illustrated with two applications to quasistatic evolution variational inequalities and electrical circuits.
