Archives and documents in the digital age

2017

The paper aims to examine and explore on some of the characteristics of …

Key Drivers of Mobile Commerce Adoption. An Exploratory Study of Spanish Mobile Users

2007

Despite dramatic differences between non-store shoppers were discovered, very limited research has been conducted to examine them. This paper analyses the background of M-commerce and key drivers of future Mcommerce decision among Spanish mobile users. Our objective is two-fold: (1) to determine the influence of relations with the Mobile (frequency of Mobile use, length of Mobile use and Mobile affinity), demographics, non-store shopping previous experience (mail, catalogue, Television and Internet) and attitude to M-commerce and its influence on the M-commerce decision and (2) to identify key drivers of future M-commerce intention. We examined data from 606 personal interviews given to Spa…

ChemInform Abstract: New Concepts in Multidentate Ligand Chemistry: Effects of Multidentarity on Catalytic and Spectroscopic Properties of Ferrocenyl…

2008

This tutorial review devoted to ligand chemistry deals with the design and properties of ferrocenyl polyphosphines, an original class of multidentate ligands. The development of a varied library of ferrocenyl tetra-, tri- and diphosphine ligands is reviewed. The multidentate nature of these species has led to unique spectroscopic and catalytic properties, in which the spatial proximity of phosphorus atoms is crucial. Regarding their catalytic applications, the key issues of catalyst longevity and ultralow catalyst loadings are discussed. Another part is concerned with fundamental advances gained in physical chemistry for structure elucidation by the study of the intriguing “through-space” N…

Description of the unknown fifth instar of Emblethis duplicatus Seidenstücker, 1963 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Rhyparochromidae), with a key to 5th ins…

2011

Currently, the Palaearctic genus Emblethis Fieber, 1860 comprises 29 species (Pericart 2001). Up to date, the 5 th instars were known only for five species representing this genus, i.e., E . ciliatus Horvath, E . verbasci (Fabricius), E . griseus (Wolff), E . denticollis Horvath, and E . minutus Kiritshenko— descriptions and keys for their identification were provided by Putshkov (1969), and Pericart (1999).

In vitro analysis of the pH stability of dental bleaching gels during in-office procedures

2021

Background Previous studies have shown that acidic bleaching gels could lead to worse collateral effects during an in-office bleaching procedure, while neutral or basic products leads towards a better experience. Considering this fact, the main purpose of this study was to evaluate the pH behavior of 6 in-office bleaching gels, compared to the information provided by their manufacturers. Material and methods Thirty enamel discs of bovine teeth were prepared, the initial colors of which were measured by a spectrophotometer and then divided into 6 groups. A pH meter was used to measure the pH every 30 seconds until the end of each procedure, when a new color evaluation was then made. The Tuke…

Estimation of the presence of unmetabolized dialkyl phthalates in untreated human urine by an on-line miniaturized reliable method

2015

Abstract At present, human exposure to dialkyl phthalates is assessed through urinary measurement of their metabolites due mainly to contamination in their analysis by their ubiquitous presence. An on-line miniaturized method and the processing of the untreated urine samples have been the key factors for minimizing contamination and achieving unbiased results. Di(2-ethylhexyl) (DEHP), diethyl (DEP), dibutyl (DBP) and mono-ethylhexyl (MEHP) phthalates in urine samples have been included in the study; MEHP as metabolite of the main dialkyl phthalate such as DEHP. On-line in-tube solid-phase microextraction (IT-SPME)-capillary liquid chromatography (CapLC) with diode array detection (DAD) is e…

Monitoring of the action of drugs in melanoma cells by dynamic laser speckle

2014

Abstract. This work presents the development of a protocol based on the dynamic laser speckle designed tomonitor the reaction of cancer cells of line MEL-RC08 to the application of the drug Colcemid in two differentconcentrations: 0.2 and 0.4 μg∕mL. The protocol was designed using the forward scattering approach with anHe-Ne laser of 632.8 nm illuminating the samples, a control, and two variations of Colcemid, being monitoredalong 8 h. The data were analyzed numerically in the time and in the frequency domain, and the results pre-sented the ability of the technique to monitor the action of the drug, particularly Colcemid (0.4 μg∕mL). © 2014Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers …

What a Friend We Have in Facebook : Norwegian Christian Churches’ Use of Social Media

2021

This study examines how Christian churches in Norway use social media. The key finding is that the churches do not take extensive advantage of the opportunities for two-way communication offered by the platforms, but primarily use their social media channels to promote church activities or broadcast content without inviting a dialogue. Based on the churches’ own stated appreciation for building relationships, as well as existing research from media and communication studies, media and religion studies, and studies within strategic communication, this article argues for a stronger focus on the ritual and relational aspects of online communication from the church organizations. From 2009 to 1929

2010

The current and still unfolding crisis of our economic system shows disturbing resemblances to the Great Depression in terms of magnitude, triggering mechanisms, and curative public interventions. This paper compares the experience, mechanisms, and consequences of these two crises in light of the analysis of Fisher, Keynes, and Minsky. This analysis proves very useful for understanding the triggering mechanisms of the current crisis, as well as its propagation mechanisms. It also addresses two dilemmas within the debate about the curative as well as preventive measures for getting out of the crisis and avoiding a new disaster: the dilemma of monetary activism and that of liquidity.

Le hasard dans le droit de l'Union européenne en matière d'accès au territoire de l'Union

2019

The article explores the question of "chance" in the European Union Law in the field of the admission of third States citizens and asylum seekers to the territory of the European Union.
