Survey sampling for functionnal data : building asymptotic confidence bands and considering auxiliary information

When collections of functional data are too large to be exhaustively observed, survey sampling techniques provide an effective way to estimate global quantities such as the population mean function, without being obligated to store all the data. In this thesis, we propose a Horvitz–Thompson estimator of the mean trajectory, and with additional assumptions on the sampling design, we state a functional Central Limit Theorem and deduce asymptotic confidence bands. For a fixed sample size, we show that stratified sampling can greatly improve the estimation compared to simple random sampling. Background Depression and anxiety are highly prevalent and often co-occur. Several studies indicate the potential of disorder-specific psychological interventions for the prevention of each of these disorders. To treat comorbidity, transdiagnostic treatment concepts seem to be a promising approach, however, evidence for transdiagnostic concepts of prevention remains inconclusive. Abstract: The essay deals with the theme of mimesis and invention in architecture through the paradigm of transformation, understood as the practice of incessant references and re-elaborations. It does so starting from the theme of the transmission of knowledge in the Aristotelian key that there is always something that lies in what it becomes. The thesis is supported through references to painting, literature, linguistics and neuroscience and uses examples of the architecture of five critically analyzed and de-engineered masters.

Genetic-neuroimaging paradigms could provide insights regarding the pathophysiology of bipolar disorder (BD). Nevertheless, findings have been inconsistent across studies. A systematic review of gene-imaging studies involving individuals with BD was conducted across electronic major databases from inception until January 9th, 2017. Forty-four studies met eligibility criteria (N = 2122 BD participants). Twenty-six gene variants were investigated across candidate gene studies and 4 studies used a genome-wide association approach. This manuscript is devoted to the study of adsorption processes by FTIR spectroscopy. The experimental results concern the adsorption of ethylene, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, sulfur hexafluoride or p-xylene on MFI zeolites, more especially on silicalite-1. The first step of the work was to develop a new experimental device and procedure in order to obtain reliable absorption infrared data and to improve results previously obtained by a prototype. The first main result is to characterize, maybe for the first time, the evolution of the spectrum of the adsorbent all during the adsorption process. Purpose – This paper analyses the influence of CSR associations on brand loyalty. We propose a theoretical model that includes the mediating role of brand awareness, brand attitude and customer satisfaction in the effect of CSR on loyalty, measured as a second-order reflective construct. Design/methodology/approach – We propose a theoretical model estimated via the analysis of covariance structures using EQS 6.1. Data were obtained using an online survey of 351 Spanish sportswear consumers. We develop a public goods game (PGG) to measure cooperation and conditional cooperation in young children. Our design addresses several obstacles in adapting simultaneous and sequential PGGs to children who are not yet able to read or write, do not possess advanced abilities to calculate payoffs, and only have a very limited attention span. It features the combination of haptic offline explanation, fully standardized audiovisual instructions, computerized choices based on touchscreens, and a suitable incentive scheme.
