Onko etäkoulu mahdollinen?

2022

Tässä katsauksessa kysyn ”onko etäkoulu mahdollinen?” Haen kysymykseen vastauksia kommentoivan narratiivisen kirjallisuuskatsauksen keinoin. Tavoitteenani on tehdä näkyväksi sitä, mitä kaikkea koulu on – ei arvostella koronapandemian aikaisten poikkeavien opetusjärjestelyjen toteuttamista tai idealisoida lähitoteutuksena järjestettävää perusopetusta. Katsaus rakentuu neljän teeman ympärille: 1) koulu on opettamista ja oppimista; 2) koulu on yhteiskunnallista uusintamista ja uudistamista; 3) koulu on ihmisiä ja suhteita ja 4) koulu on paikka ja tila.

Sustainability Perspectives in Organizational and Workplace Learning Studies

2022

The association between sustainability and learning in organizations and workplaces represents a current articulated grand challenge for human resource development (HRD) and learning studies and practice, which calls for integrated inquiries. However, studies of learning in organizations and workplaces deal with sustainability in scattered and diverse ways that promote calls for more integrated understandings of the different approaches and associations. This article outlines the results from a scoping thematic review mapping out leading perspectives within the research fields of HRD, organizational learning (OL) and workplace learning (WPL). This article thus explores the perspectives that…

A systematic literature review of participatory design studies involving teachers

2021

Participatory design is a well-known approach that involves stakeholders in designing technologies and other innovations. In education, participatory design is especially advocated for involving students with special needs. However, less attention has been paid to how participatory design can help in collaborations with teachers. This paper presents a systematic literature review of participatory design studies conducted between 2007 and 2017 that involved teachers. A comprehensive compilation of studies was collected from fourteen search engines and databases. Participatory design studies that involved teachers were analysed, organised and synthesised to produce an overview of the studies.…

"Iam nouus in terras alto descendit Olympo Iuppiter” : Patronage and propaganda in the time of Leo X (1513–1521)

2022

Giovanni de’ Medici (1475–1521), son of Lorenzo il Magnifico, was destined to a brilliant ecclesiastical career that eventually led him to the Holy See as pope Leo X (1513–1521). His reign, marked by wars and the emergence of protestantism, was also a period of intense artistic activity in Rome, with Raphael, Michelangelo, Sangallo as well as a plethora of humanist authors engaged in celebrating Leo’s feats. This article explores Leo’s patronage and propaganda, in particular through an analysis of one of the numerous poems dedicated to him by Giano Vitale Castalio of Naples (Ianus Vitalis Castalius, c. 1485–c. 1560) at the beginning of his pontificate. peerReviewed

Factors Enabling and Hindering Value Co-Creation in Continuous Service Development: A Systematic Literature Review

2022

This paper presents a systematic literature review (SLR) investigating the factors that enable and hinder value co-creation in organizations’ continuous service development processes. Employing the lens of service-dominant (S-D) logic, we classify the identified factors into three interrelated dimensions: institutions, resources, and service exchange. Our systematic findings may inform organizations’ efforts to support the emergence of positive rather than negative value outcomes when implementing continuous practices in their service development. In addition, we outline avenues for further research in this emerging topic area. peerReviewed
