Aim: The aim of the reserch is to explore the possibility of integrating Sciences and Humanities in the Faculty of Education using Ecocriticism books and literary workshops with didactic activities of interdisciplinary nature.
 Methods: The experience was carried out with 100 students of the Faculty of Education of the University of Valencia from the subjects “Natural Sciences for teachers” and “Literary training for teachers”, where different didactic activities around two literary works, a novel and a short story, were proposed.

El objetivo de esta investigación ha sido explorar la relación entre diversas variables personales y escolares (empatía, autoconcepto y percepción de ayuda del profesor), la sensibilidad intercultural y la satisfacción con la vida en alumnado de tercer ciclo de educación primaria. Además, se han analizado posibles diferencias en estas variables entre alumnado autóctono e inmigrante. En esta investigación participaron 473 alumnos (92,2% autóctonos; 7,8% inmigrantes), 52% chicos y 48% chicas, de entre 10 y 13 años (M = 10,79; DT = 0,74). [EN] This paper presents the generation of encryption keys using the local oscillating properties of the partial sums of Weierstrass-Mandelbrot fractal function. In this way, the security key can be replicated if the parameters used to obtain it are known. Therefore, these parameters can be sent instead of sending the key. This procedure reduces the amount of information to be sent and prevents possible interception of the key. Moreover, the key can not be affected by data loss or pollution. To achieve that the students understand the mathematics and its physical interpretation is the objective we should get as docents. In this paper we describe how to create a simple graphical model of a single degree of freedom vibrating system allowing us to visualize concepts like above concepts damping, resonance or forced vibrations. Se trata de especificar la forma algebraica de un modelo microeconómico para mostrar al alumno cómo es posible la resolución del problema utilizando la hoja de cálculo Excel. De esta forma, el alumno adquiere competencias específicas del área de estudio al tiempo que competencias transversales basadas en habilidades básicas en el manejo del ordenador o las habilidades informáticas básicas.
English writing instruction in Norwegian upper secondary schools

AbstractThis article presents a study of current English writing instruction practices in a selection of Norwegian upper secondary schools and discusses how this draws upon ideas within genre-pedagogy. The data comprises individual and focus-group interviews, observation reports and some teaching material. The study shows that English teachers focus on teaching genre requirements and adjustment of language to task and context. However, despite agreeing on the importance of teaching how to write specific text-types and to adjust to the situation at hand, there seems to be different opinions about how detailed instruction should be.
