Alleviating Class Imbalance Problem in Automatic Sleep Stage Classification

For real-world automatic sleep-stage classification tasks, various existing deep learning-based models are biased toward the majority with a high proportion. Because of the unique sleep structure, most of the current polysomnography (PSG) datasets suffer an inherent class imbalance problem (CIP), in which the number of each sleep stage is severely unequal. Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek piedāvāta četru detektīvromānu komparatīvā analīze. Tie ir – ‘’Ojos del agua’’ un ‘’La playa de los ahogados’’, kurus sarakstījis spāņu autors Domingo Viljars, kā arī ‘’Un lugar incierto’’ un ‘’El ejército furioso´´, kurus sarakstījusi franču autore Freda Vargasa. Konkrētā darba mērķis ir atklāt šo detektīvromānu kopīgās un atšķirīgās iezīmes.Literāro darbu analīzei izmantota semiotiķa Aļģirta Greima izveidotā metode.

Darbā ir apskatīti problēmjautājumi, kas ir saistīti ar kvalifikācijas problēmām kvalificējot noziedzīgus nodarījumus saskaņā ar Krimināllikuma 125.panta trešās daļas, Krimināllikuma 116.panta, Krimināllikuma 123.panta, jo visiem šiem pantiem ir kopīgas kaitīgās sekas cietušā nāve. Aplūkojot tiesu praksi var redzēt, ka norobežošanas problemātika rodas, jo netiek veikta noziedzīga nodarījuma subjektīvās puses analīze, tādēļ tiesu praksē rodas nepareiza šo noziedzīgo nodarījumu kvalifikācija. Darbā autore ir pētījusi tiesu praksi par soda noteikšanu par slepkavību, kā arī skatījusi teoriju par kriminālsoda un slepkavības jēdzienu. Darba mērķis ir veidot izpratni par soda noteikšanu vainīgajai personai par slepkavības izdarīšanu. Tika skatīts kriminālsoda mērķis un kā tas ir īstenojams, radot izpratni, gan par uzdevumiem, lai sasniegtu mērķi, gan par to realizāciju. Analizējot tiesu praksi, tika skatīti problēmjautājumi un prakses piemērošanas kļūdas un to atstātā ietekme uz piespriesto sodu. Developmental plasticity enables organisms to cope with environmental heterogeneity, such as seasonal variation in climatic conditions, and is thought to affect a species’ capability to adapt to environments with novel seasonal and ecological dynamics. We studied developmental plasticity of the widespread tropical butterfly, Bicyclus safitza, which reaches the southern edge of its distribution in the temperate zone of South Africa. Fortellinger om gutters krise, jenters fremgang og skolens utfordringer med sosiale ulikheter

Gutter som skolens tapere er blitt en dominerende fortelling gjennom mange år og gjentas nok en gang gjennom Stoltenbergutvalgets rapport om kjønnsforskjellene i skolen. Fortellingen bygger på en dikotomisk kjønnsforståelse og ikke en forståelse av at kjønn er mangfoldig og konstrueres kontinuerlig i kulturelle, sosiale og språklige sammenhenger. Ved å betrakte gutter som skolens tapere som et dominerende narrativ belyser jeg premissene for en slik fortelling, konsekvensene den har og hvilke fortellinger som usynliggjøres eller stilles i skyggen – fortellinger om en skole som ikke evner å utjevne de sosiale ulikhetene den har et mål om å utjevne.

Biological invasions, specifically human-induced dispersals, are one of the major threats to our biodiversity and are predicted to increase. Invasive pests provide an opportunity to study whether adaptation to human-induced environments could promote invasions to other human-induced environments.
