The authors evaluate the importance of prevention measures and health care from their own experience and briefly analyse the factors that may have contributed to the rapid spread of Covid-19 in Italy, and hope this will feed into appropriate and new and improved health policies.

AbstractPhysical activity and academic performance are positively associated, but the direction of the association is poorly understood. This longitudinal study examined the direction and magnitude of the associations between leisure-time physical activity and academic performance throughout adolescence and young adulthood. The participants were Finnish twins (from 2,859 to 4,190 individuals/study wave) and their families. Spēļošana pašvadītu mācīšanās prasmju attīstībai 5. Klases skolēniem angļu valodas stundās

Diplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt, kādi spēļošanas elementi var palīdzēt attīstīt skolēnu pašvadītas mācīšanās prasmes 5. klases angļu valodas stundās, jo pašvadītas mācīšanās prasmes ir nozīmīgas skolēnu turpmākajai dzīvei. Turklāt iepriekšējā pētījumā autore atklāja, ka spēļošana ir efektīvs līdzeklis, lai saglabātu skolēnu interesi un motivāciju. Kā pētījuma metode tika izvēlēta gadījuma izpēte. Datu vākšanas metodes ietvēra anketu, autores pašnovērtējumu un angļu valodas stundu refleksijas, kā arī skolēnu atsauksmes. Kompetencēs balstīta mācīšanās un mācīšana ir kļuvusi par neatņemamu mācību procesa sastāvdaļu, tāpēc ir svarīgi angļu valodas kā svešvalodas stundās iekļaut situācijas, kas pietuvinātas reālajai dzīvei. Tā kā CLIL ir daļa no kompetenču pieejā balstīta mācību satura un kļūst arvien populārāka metode jau pamatskolas līmenī, maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā ar CLIL palīdzību var attīstīt skolēnu lingvistisko kompetenci pamatskolā 5. klasē.
