In this prospective study, we assessed the effectiveness and acceptability of paliperidone palmitate 1-month (PP1M) and aripiprazole monohydrate (AM) over 1-year follow-up. We included 195 subjects (117 treated with PP1M and 78 with AM) with schizophrenia spectrum disorders from real-world settings. We estimated no differences in hospitalization (Odds Ratio=1.59; p = 0.12), symptoms improvement (p = 0.90 adjusted for baseline severity), and discontinuation (Hazard Ratio=0.72; p = 0.20) at study endpoint. Immigrant status, gender, and school burnout in Finnish lower secondary school students : A longitudinal study

The aim of this longitudinal study among 9223 students from grade 7 and grade 9 (age 13–14 and 15–16) was to assess whether immigrant status and gender are associated with the level and change (slope) in school burnout among lower secondary school students in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Ninety-seven percent of the variation in school burnout was attributable to individual factors. Both the intercept (2.3, p < 0.001) and slope (0.5, p < 0.001) of school burnout were statistically significant. The slope showed increasing school burnout from grades 7–9. In this paper, we investigate the filtering problem of discrete-time Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy uncertain systems subject to time-varying delays. A reduced-order filter is designed. With the augmentation technique, a filtering error system with delayed states is obtained. In order to deal with time delays in system states, the filtering error system is first transformed into two interconnected subsystems. The problem of Hankel-norm output feedback control is solved for a class of T-S fuzzy stochastic systems. The dynamic output feedback controller design technique is proposed by employing fuzzy-basis-dependent Lyapunov function approach and the conversion on the Hankel-norm controller parameters. Sufficient conditions are established to design the controllers such that the resulting closed-loop system is stochastically stable and satisfies a prescribed performance. Endothelins are potent mitogens that stimulate extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERK/MAP kinases) through their cognate G-protein-coupled receptors, ET(A) and ET(B). To address the role of post-translational ET receptor modifications such as acylation on ERK activation and to identify relevant downstream effectors coupling the ET receptor to the ERK signaling cascades we have constructed a panel of palmitoylation-deficient ET receptor mutants with differential G(alpha) protein binding capacity.
