Gabapentin in the treatment of hemifacial spasm

Objectives To evaluate the efficacy of gabapentin in the treatment of hemifacial spasm. Material and methods Twenty-three patients with hemifacial spasm not suitable for surgery or therapy with botulinum toxin were treated with gabapentin. The main efficacy parameter was the percentage of spasm reduction. Results A clinically significant reduction of spasms was obtained by 16 patients. Conclusion Gabapentin was effective and safe in reducing hemifacial spasm in 16 out 23 (69.6%) patients.

Darbā ar IS spektroskopiju un KMR spektroskopiju tika noskaidrota dažādu ūdeņraža saišu veidojošu katalizatoru iedarbība uz Dīlsa – Aldera reakciju starp maleīnskābes neopentilizoimīdu un maleīnskābes anhidrīdu un 2,3-dimetil-1,3-butadiēnu produkta rašanās ātrumu. Maleīnskābes monomīds tika sintezēts no maleīnskābes anhidrīda un neopentilamīna. Maleīnskābes izoimīds tika sintezēts no iegūtā maleīnskābes monoamīda, izmantojot dehidratējošo reaģentu dicikloheksilkarbodiimīdu.

Two analysis errors have been identified that affect the results for a handful of the high-value pulsars given in Table 1 of Abbott et al. (2019). One affects the Bayesian analysis for the five pulsars that glitched during the analysis period, and the other affects the 5n-vector analysis for J0711-6830. Updated results after correcting the errors are shown in Table 1, which now supersedes the results given for those pulsars in Table 1 of Abbott et al. (2019). In this paper we present a system based on the LSA paradigm to improve the performance of a traditional information retrieval system. The proposed system aims to improve both the recall and the precision capabilities of traditional search engines thanks to a semantic query expansion and a subsequent semantic results filtering. The sarcophagus that holds the bones of Lucca Palizzi,wife of Giovanni Chiaromonte the Elder, is located into the church of Santa Maria della Catena, built between the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century near the ancient port of Cala, in Palermo. The sarcophagus is placed along the left wall of the choir, on a modern base; the sources historians say that the original site was the church of S. Nicolò alla Kalsa, where Chiaromonte himself, starting from 1306, built the Chapel of the SS. Crucifix as a family mausoleum.
