One-pot synthesis and characterization of subnanometre-size benzotriazolate protected copper clusters

A simple one-pot method for the preparation of subnanometre-size benzotriazolate (BTA) protected copper clusters, Cu(n)BTA(m), is reported. The clusters were analyzed by optical and infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and transmission electron microscopy together with computational methods. We suggest a structural motif where the copper core of the Cu(n)BTA(m) clusters is protected by BTA-Cu(i)-BTA units.
Hydro-mechanical modelling of MX-80 bentonite: one dimensional study

As a first step towards modelling the coupled Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical-Chemical (THMC) behaviour of bentonite, the Barcelona Basic Model (BBM) has been implemented into Numerrin finite element code. This model has been fully coupled with the single phase flow equation for unsaturated soils which models liquid water transport. Suction obtained from solving the flow equation is used as an input for the BBM model and the volumetric deformations from the mechanical analysis are used to update the pore water pressure field. The effect of bioreactor design on nitrification efficiency has been well studied, but less is known about the overall impacts on water quality. Aizskarošu tekstu filtrēšana ar neironu tīklu metodēm

Pētījuma mērķis ir izstrādāt neironu tīklu modeli, kas spēj izvērtēt angļu valodā rakstītu tekstu un noteikt aizskaroša satura esamību. Pētījuma ietvaros apskatītas tādas teksta apstrādes metodes kā lemmatizēšana un teksta sadalīšana tekstvienībās, veikta datu kopas sagatavošana un salīdzināti vairāki neironu tīklu arhitektūru tipi. Rezultātā iegūts neironu tīkla modelis, kas ar 93,75% precizitāti spēj noteikt aizskaroša teksta esamību noteiktā teksta gabalā. Izstrādātais modelis pārsēj pētījumā apskatīto bāzlīnijas metodes precizitāti par 33,28%. Pētījuma ietvaros izstrādāta tīmekļa lietotne, kas pielieto izstrādāto modeli un vizuāli ataino iegūtos rezultātus.

INDAGINE SULL’ IDROREPELLENZA DEL SUOLO DI UNA PINETA ARTIFICIALE MEDITERRANEA

Nell’indagine è stata caratterizzata l’idrorepellenza del suolo di una pineta artificiale Mediterranea utilizzando sia il tradizionale Water Drop Penetration Time (WDPT) test che due indici desunti da esperimenti di infiltrazione condotti con il MiniDisk Infiltrometer (MDI). In particolare, il Repellency Index (RI) è stato calcolato come rapporto tra i valori di sorptività misurati con etanolo e acqua, mentre il Water Repellency Cessation Time (WRCT) è stato ricavato utilizzando l’informazione acquisita nella fase idrofobica e in quella idrofila del processo di infiltrazione con acqua.
