Understanding teachers’ mental models of collaboration to enhance the learning community

This study examined representations of Finnish basic education teachers’ mental models of collaboration to reveal the background features that enable or hinder changes in a school community and teacher collaboration. In this case study, we explored 41 teachers’ mental models of collaboration in a one-school community to identify and understand the features that enhance or challenge collaboration. The findings raise the question of how collaboration can support a school’s transition to a unified comprehensive school, when teachers are accustomed to working alone with a strong sense of autonomy and diverse mental models of collaboration. La collaborazione tra la scuola e l'università nella formazione iniziale degli insegnanti di scuola primaria e dell'infanzia si esplica principalmente attraverso il tirocinio e i laboratori, dove si creano anche delle occasioni propizie per impostare e svolgere insieme delle ricerche in campo didattico. [EN] Eduardo Primo Yúfera was the founder of the Institute of Agrochemicals and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC) and was its director until being appointed president of the Spanish National Research Council. He is considered both patron and promoter of the fields of food science and technology and chemical ecology in Spain, as well as pioneer of the innovation system model (R+D+i). Throughout his long research career,which lasted 65 years, he published 291 scientifi c papers, with an average of 4.48 papers per year. [EN] The aim of this study was to analyze the scientific activity of Latin American researchers in viticulture and oenology through bibliometric analyses of articles included in the Science Citation Index Expanded database for the period of 2006 to 2010. A total of 917 research articles were published in 364 domestic and international journals. Work-related stress and addictive behaviors have been described by several empirical studies as potential impairers for the health, welfare, and safety of workers. With this study, we aimed at describing the relationship between two work stress (Job Strain and Effort-Reward Imbalance) and tobacco consumption indicators among city bus drivers, and their association with traffic incidents registered by drivers along the last 2 years.
