Improved calculations of beta decay backgrounds to new physics in liquid xenon detectors

We present high-precision theoretical predictions for the electron energy spectra for the ground-state to ground-state $\beta$ decays of $^{214}$Pb, $^{212}$Pb, and $^{85}$Kr most relevant to the background of liquid xenon dark matter detectors. The effects of nuclear structure on the spectral shapes are taken into account using large-scale shell model calculations. Final spectra also include atomic screening and exchange effects. The impact of nuclear structure effects on the $^{214}$Pb and $^{212}$Pb spectra below $\approx100$ keV, pertinent for several searches for new physics, are found to be comparatively larger than those from the atomic effects alone. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tutkia esimiesasemassa toimivien lääkäreiden eli lääkärijohtajien työtä ja heidän näkemyksiä työstään. Tutkimuksen tehtävänä oli lisätä ymmärrystä lääkärien johtamistyön erityispiirteistä. Tutkimuskohteena olivat ison keskussairaalan ylilääkärit sekä toimialueiden ja vastuualueiden johtajina toimivat lääkärit. Tutkimus suoritettiin laadullisena puolistrukturoituna haastattelututkimuksena, jonka analysointi suoritettiin sisällönanalyysinä teemoitteluperiaatteella. A powerful antecedent of unethical behavior is organizational culture. This chapter discusses what constitutes and drives an ethical culture. Abstract Rill erosion is considered one of the most important processes affecting soil because of the large amount of soil loss. The rill network acts as sediment source and is able to transport both rill flow-detached particles and those delivered from the interrill areas. Small flow depth in a rill and steep slope values of its bed affect significantly flow hydraulics. When rill flow velocity is measured using a dye-tracing method, the mean velocity is calculated by multiplying the measured surface velocity of the leading edge of the tracer plume by a correction factor.
