La riunificazione familiare dello straniero nei trattati sui diritti umani

2010

Family reunification contributes to the integration of aliens in the countries of destination and the development of their personality as well, but it entails the increase in the demand for social facilities. As a consequence States tend to reduce the opportunities for family reunification. The study analyses the activity of the organs of control set up by the international conventions on human rights and aims at identifying the obligations on States’ sovereignty stemming from the rules of these conventions protecting family life or disciplining family reunification. In assessing the lawfulness of States’ rules on family reunification or decisions on individual cases these organs verify whe…

Le informazioni sulla banca

2017

Lo scritto indaga sulla possibile individuazione nell'ordinamento bancario di norme volte a sancire l'obbligo di fornire ai clienti dei servizi bancari informazioni relative alla banca. Ipotizza poi rimedi a presidio di tale obbligo. The paper investigates the possible identification in the banking system of rules aimed at establishing the obligation to provide banking customers with information relating to the bank. Finally, tha Author examines possible remedies for cases of violation of this obligation.

CD36 involvement in orosensory detection of dietary lipids, spontaneous fat preference, and digestive secretions

2005

International audience; Rats and mice exhibit a spontaneous attraction for lipids. Such a behavior raises the possibility that an orosensory system is responsible for the detection of dietary lipids. The fatty acid transporter CD36 appears to be a plausible candidate for this function since it has a high affinity for long-chain fatty acids (LCFAs) and is found in lingual papillae in the rat. To explore this hypothesis further, experiments were conducted in rats and in wild-type and CD36-null mice. In mice, RT-PCR experiments with primers specific for candidate lipid-binding proteins revealed that only CD36 expression was restricted to lingual papillae although absent from the palatal papill…

XPO1E571K Mutation Modifies Exportin 1 Localisation and Interactome in B-cell Lymphoma

2020

The XPO1 gene encodes exportin 1 (XPO1) that controls the nuclear export of cargo proteins and RNAs. Almost 25% of primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma (PMBL) and classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) cases harboured a recurrent XPO1 point mutation (NM_003400, chr2:g61718472C&gt

Abstract 5379: Recurrent inactivation of PARD3, a polarity-related gene, in squamous cell carcinomas of the lung.

2013

Abstract In spite of the recent advances in cancer genomics, the genetics underlying the development of lung squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) is still poorly understood. Here, we investigated the contribution of the cell polarity-related gene, PARD3, to lung SCC carcinogenesis. First, we tested for PARD3 alterations in lung cancer cell lines from various histopathological types. The analysis confirmed an intragenic deletion at the H157 cells and unveiled biallelic mutations in another cell line. Both cell lines are SCCs, which circumscribed PARD3 alterations to this lung cancer type. Next, we extended the genetic screening, which included the determination of mutations and of intragenic delet…

Neuroblastoma with MYCN amplification plus 11q deletion: immunohistochemical expression of angiogenic factors

2010

Neuroblastoma (NB) is an extra-cranial solid neoplasm in childhood. Genetic markers as MYCN amplification (MNA) and deletion of 11q (11q ) are considered factors with an adverse prognosis. Usually, an inverse relationship between MNA and 11q is found. Approximately 13% of the MNA cases present with 11q . These cases show a dramatic decline in survival rates. Hypoxia-inducible factor-2a (HIF-2a) protein expression has been described as an indicator of poor outcome, has been correlated with an aggressive phenotype in NB, and serves as a marker for stem cell-like phenotypes. Additionally, HIF-2a positive cells strongly express vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and, as such, could be in…

Influence of segmental chromosome abnormalities on survival in children over the age of 12 months with unresectable localised peripheral neuroblastic…

2014

Background: The prognostic impact of segmental chromosome alterations (SCAs) in children older than 1 year, diagnosed with localised unresectable neuroblastoma (NB) without MYCN amplification enrolled in the European Unresectable Neuroblastoma (EUNB) protocol is still to be clarified, while, for other group of patients, the presence of SCAs is associated with poor prognosis. Methods: To understand the role of SCAs we performed multilocus/pangenomic analysis of 98 tumour samples from patients enrolled in the EUNB protocol. Results: Age at diagnosis was categorised into two groups using 18 months as the age cutoff. Significant difference in the presence of SCAs was seen in tumours of patients…
