An inverse problem for the minimal surface equation

We use the method of higher order linearization to study an inverse boundary value problem for the minimal surface equation on a Riemannian manifold $(\mathbb{R}^n,g)$, where the metric $g$ is conformally Euclidean. In particular we show that with the knowledge of Dirichlet-to-Neumann map associated to the minimal surface equation, one can determine the Taylor series of the conformal factor $c(x)$ at $x_n=0$ up to a multiplicative constant. We show this both in the full data case and in some partial data cases.

Asymptotic Lipschitz regularity for tug-of-war games with varying probabilities

We prove an asymptotic Lipschitz estimate for value functions of tug-of-war games with varying probabilities defined in $\Omega\subset \mathbb R^n$. The method of the proof is based on a game-theoretic idea to estimate the value of a related game defined in $\Omega\times \Omega$ via couplings.

Assuming the coefficients $$a_{ij}$$ a ij in $$W^{1,n}(\Omega )$$ W 1 , n ( Ω ) with a modulus of continuity satisfying a certain Dini-type continuity condition, we prove that any very weak solution $$u\in L^{n'}_\mathrm{loc}(\Omega )$$ u ∈ L loc n ′ ( Ω ) of (0.1) is actually a weak solution in $$W^{1,2}_\mathrm{loc}(\Omega )$$ W loc 1 , 2 ( Ω ) .

Some IDPs can function as either transient or permanent binders of other proteins and may interact with an array of ligands by adopting different conformations. Oxidative stress markers seem to be higher in patients with anorexia nervosa (AN) than healthy controls, but the potentially beneficial effects of weight gain is not known. We calculated random effects standardised mean differences (SMDs) as effect size measures of oxidative stress marker changes after re-alimentation reported in two or more studies, summarising others descriptively. Seven longitudinal studies (n = 104) were included. After a median follow-up period of 8 weeks, AN patients significantly increased their body mass index (15.1 ± 2.1 to 17.1 ± 2.2, p < 0.0001).
