Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie i omówienie wybranych technik, za pomocą których można z powodzeniem kształcić umiejętność słuchania na lekcjach L1. Autorka jako pierwsze omawia techniki, o których w latach 90. pisali lingwodydaktycy – Tadeusz Patrzałek i Maria Nagajowa, następnie prezentuje wybrane techniki glottodydaktyczne, które, po ich dostosowaniu do specyfiki słuchania w L1, można wykorzystać na lekcjach języka polskiego jako ojczystego. Autorka wychodzi z założenia, że integracja koncepcji lingwo- i glottodydaktycznych może przyczynić się do skutecznego i świadomego kształcenia umiejętności słuchania na lekcjach języka polskiego jako ojczystego.
Combining PCA and multiset CCA for dimension reduction when group ICA is applied to decompose naturalistic fMRI data

An extension of group independent component analysis (GICA) is introduced, where multi-set canonical correlation analysis (MCCA) is combined with principal component analysis (PCA) for three-stage dimension reduction. The method is applied on naturalistic functional MRI (fMRI) images acquired during task-free continuous music listening experiment, and the results are compared with the outcome of the conventional GICA. The extended GICA resulted slightly faster ICA convergence and, more interestingly, extracted more stimulus-related components than its conventional counterpart. LOCAL CONTROL OF SOUND IN STOCHASTIC DOMAINS BASED ON FINITE ELEMENT MODELS

A numerical method for optimizing the local control of sound in a stochastic domain is developed. A three-dimensional enclosed acoustic space, for example, a cabin with acoustic actuators in given locations is modeled using the finite element method in the frequency domain. The optimal local noise control signals minimizing the least square of the pressure field in the silent region are given by the solution of a quadratic optimization problem. The developed method computes a robust local noise control in the presence of randomly varying parameters such as variations in the acoustic space. A comparison of the discrete and dimensional models of emotion in music

The primary aim of the present study was to systematically compare perceived emotions in music using two different theoretical frameworks: the discrete emotion model, and the dimensional model of affect. A secondary aim was to introduce a new, improved set of stimuli for the study of music-mediated emotions. A large pilot study established a set of 110 film music excerpts, half were moderately and highly representative examples of five discrete emotions (anger, fear, sadness, happiness and tenderness), and the other half moderate and high examples of the six extremes of three bipolar dimensions (valence, energy arousal and tension arousal). Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli kuvata yksittäisen tapauksen kautta sosiaalisten tilanteiden pelon syntyä, merkitystä yksilön elämään ja mahdollisia selviytymiskeinoja. Työn tarkoituksena oli tuoda esiin niitä kokemuksia, joita sosiaalisten tilanteiden pelon kanssa elävä kokee. Tutkimus oli luonteeltaan laadullinen tapaustutkimus. Tutkimuksen aineisto kerättiin yhdeltä sosiaalisten tilanteiden pelkoa kokeneelta mieheltä. Aineistonkeruumenetelmänä käytettiin teemahaastattelua, joka toteutettiin yksilöllisesti haastateltavan kotona. Aineisto analysoitiin aineistolähtöisesti teemoittelun avulla. Tämän kandidaatintutkielman tarkoituksena on selvittää, miten sukupuolet ovat edustettuina kahdessa ruotsin kielen oppikirjassa, Klick 7:ssä ja Hallonbåt 1–2:ssa. Tietoisuus sukupuolten välisestä tasa-arvosta on lisääntynyt yhteiskunnassa ja tässä tutkimuksessa pyritään selvittämään, onko se yhdessä opetussuunnitelmien muutosten kanssa vaikuttanut oppikirjojen sisältöön sukupuolten välisen tasa-arvon ja sukupuoliin liittetävien stereotypioiden osalta. The present five-year longitudinal study from preschool to grade 3 examined the developmental associations among oral language comprehension, task orientation, reading precursors, and reading fluency, as well as their role in predicting grade 3 reading comprehension. Ninety Finnish-speaking students participated in the study. The students’ oral language comprehension (vocabulary knowledge, listening comprehension, and inference making) and task orientation were assessed in preschool, kindergarten, and grade 3. In their article, Marta Chyb-Winnicka and Anna Tabisz present a taxonomic approach to the teaching of listening and speaking skills in lessons of Polish as a native language. The authors show that the 2017 provisions of the core curriculum for the Polish language in primary schools in Poland put special emphasis on the development of reading and writing skills. For this reason, Chyb-Winnicka and Tabisz underline the importance of teaching the two other skills, i.e., listening and speaking, and argue that taxonomic categories should be used to systematize the knowledge of these skills.
