Technical and economical comparison between different topologies of PV plant under mismatch effect

This paper presents a technical and economical comparative analysis between two topology of photovoltaic plant. In particular the performances of series-parallel (SP) and total cross tied (TCT), topologies are taken into account, referring to a partially shaded photovoltaic plant. Thanks to a simulation model developed, in the paper the mismatch effects due to three different shading conditions, for SP and TCT topology plant, are quantified. An Appeal for Implementing Social Assistance and Welfare Programs for European Children Challenged by Parental Loss

The authors of this commentary, many of whom are part of a working group on social pediatrics supported by some of the European national pediatric societies member of EPA-UNEPSA, conclude that more studies are needed to cross the boundaries between disciplines, for example, looking at the inter-relationship of family life and child health and how parental loss is affecting the micro and macro level of child healthcare service systems. Therefore, this article aims to alert pediatricians to the impact of parental loss on child health and wellbeing. It emphasizes the importance of implementing preventive and social support programs for achieving health promotion and health-protective effects.

The participation in multicultural societies. Elaboration and evaluation of a program of active participation

The article begins with the theoretical bases for developing a training programme to foment the exercise of an active participation. The designed program is applied in a group of women with different cultural backgrounds that live in the city of L'Hospitalet and it is evaluated following the methodological characteristics of an investigation evaluation of participatory character. From the collection and analysis of the information, we present the results obtained that turn around the investigation objectives: the validation of the program design, the investigation on the exercise of active participation, the formation of the work team and the creation of a meeting point for women.
Testing the participatory education evaluation concept in a national context

Abstract The article focuses on the realisation of participatory evaluation (PE) in national educational evaluation activity. The realisation of PE is examined by adapting the Daigneault and Jacob model (2009 ; originally Cousins & Whitmore, 1998 ) to five national-level educational evaluations carried out in Finland.
