Groups' warmth is a personal matter: Understanding consensus on stereotype dimensions reconciles adversarial models of social evaluation

Abstract As proponents of two theories of social evaluation, we disagree whether people spontaneously differentiate societal groups' conservative-progressive beliefs (distinct claim of the agency-beliefs-communion or ABC model) or warmth/communion (distinct claim of the stereotype content model or SCM). Our adversarial collaboration provides one way to resolve this debate. Examining people from four continents who differentiated groups in their country (N = 2356), we found lower consensus on groups' warmth/communion compared to agency/~competence and beliefs (Studies 1–4). La rétablir relève de l'engagement politique et social, mais aussi du souci d'efficacité. Pour y parvenir, il ne faut pas craindre d'adopter certaines mesures d'évaluation par les résultats, souvent diabolisées, mais qui permettraient pourtant de mieux prendre en compte les besoins des élèves les plus faibles.

In this paper we present a study to know the valuation of school mediation as an educational strategy taking into account the views of students in five schools in secondary Valencia, where the formal mediation process has been active for at least two years. Daily moods, health routines and recovery among employees working in the retail and services sector : A diary study

This study examined the quality and fluctuation of daily moods as well as health routines and means of recovery from work strain among employees (n = 38) working nonstandard, often unpredictable schedules in the retail and services sector in Finland. Data were collected via a background questionnaire and a one-week mobile diary. The results indicated that the daily moods of employees were relatively positive but varied greatly from day to day. Hectic working days, unpredictable changes in work schedules, and compounded responsibilities at home and work were reported as causes of daily strain stemming from work. Tā mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi priekšstati saistībā ar cilvēku tirdzniecību un seksuālo ekspluatāciju pastāv Latvijas sabiedrībā. Personnel selection based on candidates' competences is a difficult task due to the imprecise description of the applicants' competences and to the existence of several experts simultaneously evaluating those attributes. In this context, fuzzy sets theory provides suitable tools for the attainment of the maximum possible information from imprecise data. In this work, personnel selection methods are proposed that rely on the definition of an ideal candidate.
