Potential-assisted deposition of mixed alkanethiol self-assembled monolayers

Abstract Preparation of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) usually involves passive incubation. The recently developed potential-assisted deposition is indeed more selective as well as 100-fold faster than passive adsorption, thereby enhancing the reproducibility of the monolayer deposition. This article aims to identify the electrodeposition conditions necessary to prepare mixed alkanethiol SAMs on gold surface. Parameters such as concentrations in solution, electrode polarization and deposition time were examined for two chain lengths, C 3 (mercaptopropionic acid, MPA) and C 18 (octadecanethiol, ODT). W artykule przedstawiono główne założenia i cele, jakie zostały określone w trakcie procesu tworzenia obecnie obowiązujących przepisów prawa hazardowego, a także podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jakim zakresie deklaracje te nie znalazły odzwierciedlenia w treści uchwalonych przepisów. La Méditerranée est l'une des régions du globe les plus exposées au risque sismique du fait de deux continents qui s'y affrontent, l'Europe et l'Afrique. Toutefois, les pays de la Méditerranée occidentale sont inégalement soumis au risque sismique, tant en ce qui concerne le nombre de tremblements de terre que leur impact sur la vulnérabilité humaine. The Car Resequencing Problem with Pull-Off Tables

AbstractThe car sequencing problem determines sequences of different car models launched down a mixed- model assembly line. To avoid work overloads of workforce, car sequencing restricts the maximum occurrence of labor-intensive options, e.g., a sunroof, by applying sequencing rules. We consider this problem in a resequencing context, where a given number of buffers (denoted as pull-off tables) is available for rearranging a stirred sequence. The problem is formalized and suited solution procedures are developed. A lower bound and a dominance rule are introduced which both reduce the running time of our graph approach. Finally, a real-world resequencing setting is investigated.

The design of nanoparticle delivery materials possessing biological activities is an attractive strategy for the development of various therapies. In this study, 11 cationic amphiphilic 4-(N-alkylpyridinium)-1,4-dihydropyridine (1,4-DHP) derivatives differing in alkyl chain length and propargyl moiety/ties number and position were selected for the study of their self-assembling properties, evaluation of their cytotoxicity in vitro and toxicity on microorganisms, and the characterisation of their interaction with phospholipids.
