The IMF Lending Activity – A Survey

Abstract This paper presents the evolution of the IMF lending arrangements approved between 1953-2013. The study covers both non-concessional and concessional loans. The findings show that the volume of the IMF loans has fluctuated significantly and the value of the IMF lending has increased over a period of economic or financial crisis, as the debt crisis of the 1980s, the Tequila crisis in 1994-1995, the Southeast Asia crisis in 1997-1998, Russia in 1998, Brazil in 1998-1999 and Argentina in 1999-2002 or the global financial crisis since 2008.

Metastātisko un kopējo limfmezglu skaita attiecība operētām no 2015. līdz 2016. gadam krūts vēža pacientēm un to saistība ar slimības iznākumu

Darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 50 lappusēm. Tas satur 6 attēlus, 8 tabulas, 1 pielikumus, 83 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis: ir izpētīt metastātisko un kopējo limfmezglu skaita attiecību operētajām pacientēm un noskaidrot saistību ar slimības iznākumu un pacientu dzīvildzi pēc pieciem gadiem. Dalībnieki:Atlasītas 38 sievietes ar lokāli izplatītu krūts vēzi. Metode: Retrospektīvs pētījums. No pacienta kartēm tika analizēta informācija par krūts vēža stadiju, limfmezglu iesaisti un pacientu dzīvildzi. Rezultāti:Piecu gadu dzīvildze konstatēta 31 pacientēm tas ir 82% gadījumā. Apoptosis is a well-defined cellular process in which a cell dies, characterized by cell shrinkage and DNA fragmentation. In parasites like Leishmania, the process of apoptosis-like cell death has been described. Moreover upon infection, the apoptotic-like population is essential for disease development, in part by silencing host phagocytes. Nevertheless, the exact mechanism of how apoptosis in unicellular organisms may support infectivity remains unclear. Discovery of Retinoic Acid-Related Orphan Receptor γt Inverse Agonists via Docking and Negative Image-Based Screening

Retinoic acid-related orphan receptor γt (RORγt) has a vital role in the differentiation of T-helper 17 (TH17) cells. Potent and specific RORγt inverse agonists are sought for treating TH17-related diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and type 1 diabetes. Here, the aim was to discover novel RORγt ligands using both standard molecular docking and negative image-based screening. Interestingly, both of these in silico techniques put forward mostly the same compounds for experimental testing. Simple Summary Although the prognosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) has improved significantly during the past decades, ALL remains a major cause of pediatric cancer mortality, and more accurate risk-stratification is required. We investigated IGF2BP3, which has previously been associated with aggressive cancers, and found high and subtype-specific expression of IGF2BP3 in B-cell ALL, that was associated with good outcome in high-risk patients.
