Developmental integration in a functional unit: deciphering processes from adult dental morphology

The evolution of mammalian dentition is constrained by functional necessity and by the non-independence of morphological structures. Efficient chewing implies coherent tooth coordination from development to motion, involving covariation patterns (integration) within dental parts. Using geometric morphometrics, we investigate the modular organization of the highly derived vole dentition. Integration patterns between and within the upper and lower molar rows are analyzed to identify potential modules and their origins (functional and developmental). The polymerisation of ethylene was carried out in the presence of (C5H5)2TiCl2/(C2H5)2AlCl in benzene (I) and of TiCl4/(C2H5)AlCl2 in chlorobenzene (II). In the initial state of the polymerisation with I oligomers with a narrow molecular weight distribution are formed. According to their IR and NMR spectra they were identified as predominantly saturated linear hydrocarbons. The effect of a substitution of the cyclopentadienyl rings by R = CH3 and C2H5 was studied as well as the influence of aging particularly on the molecular weight distribution. Increased airway inflammatory cells in endurance athletes: what do they mean?

Inflammatory cells are increased in the airways of endurance athletes, but their role in causing exercise-induced respiratory symptoms and bronchoconstriction, or their possible long-term consequences, are uncertain.To put the results of athlete studies in perspective, by analysing the pathogenesis of airway cell changes and their impact on respiratory function.Athletes of different endurance sports at rest showed increased airway neutrophils. Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Luminor bankas” komunikācija stratēģija un auditorijas reakcija uz „DNB banka” un „Nordea banka”. Darbs sastāv no trīs daļām - teorētiskās, metodoloģiskās un empīriskās daļas. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt teorētisko informāciju par zīmolu, tā identitāti, atpazīstamību, kā arī par zīmolu apvienošanu jaunā zīmolā „Luminor”. Tiks veikta banku klientu viedokļu apkopošana un izpētīta „Luminor bankas” komunikācija ar auditoriju. Darbs ir sadalīts trijās lielās nodaļās, kur pirmā nodaļa ir teorētiskā daļa, otrā metodoloģiskā daļa un trešā empīriskā daļa. Visām šīm nodaļām ir izveidotas arī apakšnodaļas. Effect of reflections on phase hologram recording in amorphous As-S-Se films

Experimental and theoretical studies of phase hologram recording in amorphous As-S-Se films with slightly wedge-shaped thickness profile are presented. It is shown that Fabry-Perot resonator effect caused by the interference of multiply reflected light beams inside the sample strongly changes the values of diffraction efficiency and its growth rate as well as the exposure time dependences of diffraction efficiency and transmissivity making them site-dependent and sample-dependent. Absorptivity and recording light intensity inside the sample are also significantly changed. Validation of a computer-assisted system on classifying lower third molars

Objectives: The present study evaluates the reliability of the Radio Memory® software (Radio Memory; Belo Horizonte, Brasil.) on classifying lower third molars, analyzing intra- and interexaminer agreement of the results. Study Design: An observational, descriptive study of 280 lower third molars was made. The corresponding orthopantomographs were analyzed by two examiners using the Radio Memory® software. The exam was repeated 30 days after the first observation by each examiner.
