Dangerous Effects Induced on Power MOSFETs by Terrestrial Neutrons

This paper investigates the effects that terrestrial neutrons can induce on power MOSFETs when they are biased during their normal working conditions especially in inverters for photovoltaic applications. After a brief review of power MOSFETs failure phenomena caused by neutron irradiation (with emphasis on so called “Single Event Effects” (SEE)), the results of an accelerated test performed with the Am-Be source at the University of Palermo are discussed.

After the patrimonial destruction that took place during the Civil War of 1936-1939 in the city of Cartagena, religious art and especially sacred sculpture, is greatly affected. The artistic expressions that the Passionist entities took to the streets on the days of Holy Week, disappear almost in their entirety, having to start a tremendously costly reconstruction process in order to alleviate the losses suffered. Tutkielmassa analysoidaan nuortenfantasiasarjojen Elina Rouhiaisen Susiraja (2012–2015) ja Annukka Salaman Faunoidit (2012–2014) homorepresentaatioita homostereotyypin, -arkkityypin ja -narratiivin käsittein. Tutkielma on queer-feministinen.Tutkielman tärkeitä käsitteitä ovat queerin hyödykkeenomaisuus, heteroystävällisyys ja kompensoiminen. Tutkielma pyrkii kyseenalaistamaan homostereotyyppisten hahmojen vahingollisuuden. Kohdeteosten homohahmoja käsitellään stereotypian, sosiaalisten suhteiden ja seksuaalisuuden näkökulmista. The topic of this study was the mineralogical and petrographic characterization of bedding mortars (made of different layers) and tesserae of Roman age (3rd century A.D.), taken from the mosaic of the Frigidarium of “Villa Bonanno”, brought to light by archaeological excavations conducted in the historical centre of Palermo. Anthropogenic expansion and loss of natural environments calls for the more sustainable use of resources, including land. To combine the conservation of highly valuable meadow habitat with reclamation of post‐industrial land, 1.3 ha of turf were translocated from an urban area to basins constructed near an abandoned quarry. In contrast to the usual method of choosing similar habitats as salvage sites, the selected quarry possessed different environmental properties to the meadows, challenging their acclimatisation.
