Reentrant Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov superfluidity in the honeycomb lattice
2017
We study superconducting properties of population-imbalanced ultracold Fermi mixtures in the honeycomb lattice that can be effectively described by the spin-imbalanced attractive Hubbard model in the presence of a Zeeman magnetic field. We use the mean-field theory approach to obtain ground state phase diagrams including some unconventional superconducting phases such as the Fulde--Ferrell--Larkin--Ovchinnikov (FFLO) phase. We show that this phase is characterized by atypical behaviour of the Cooper pairs total momentum in the external magnetic field. We show that the momentum changes its value as well as direction with change of the system parameters. We discuss the influence of van Hove s…
Plasma distributions observed in a 2.45 GHz hydrogen discharge
2014
The existence of various spatial distributions of hydrogen plasma in a pulsed 2.45 GHz microwave discharge is demonstrated. The data has been obtained through optical emission diagnostics utilizing an ultra-fast CCD camera system with multi-channel plate (MCP) intensifiers, and a wavelength-filtered photodiode recording temporal light emission signals of hydrogen atoms and molecules. It has been observed that the magnetic field topology and strength are determining the transitions between different plasma patterns and spectral saturation times while neutral gas pressure and microwave power show a weaker influence on the profiles but affect the emitted light intensity.
Lifetimes and g-factors of the HFS states in H-like and Li-like bismuth
2018
The LIBELLE experiment performed at the experimental storage ring (ESR) at the GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt, Germany, has successfully determined the ground state hyperfine (HFS) splittings in hydrogen-like ($^{209}\rm{Bi}^{82+}$) and lithium-like ($^{209}\rm{Bi}^{80+}$) bismuth. The study of HFS transitions in highly charged ions enables precision tests of QED in extreme electric and magnetic fields otherwise not attainable in laboratory experiments. Besides the transition wavelengths the time resolved detection of fluorescence photons following the excitation of the ions by a pulsed laser system also allows to extract lifetimes of the upper HFS levels and g-fac…

Glucosylation of isatin-3-oxime followed by 2D in situ NMR in plant cells at highest magnetic field without labelling.
2001
The glucosylation of isatin-3-oxime (1) was monitored by in situ 2D 1H-13C inverse correlated gradient assisted NMR spectroscopy in plant cell suspension cultures of Rauvolfia serpentina without labelling. The applied high magnetic field of 800 MHz allowed measurements within 20 min at concentrations of 1 of 5.76 mM. Complete glucosylation of 1 occurs inside the cells within 72 hours. During this time isatin-3-oxime-glucoside (2) accumulates without further metabolism.
APPLICATION OF 3‐D FINITE DIFFERENCE METHOD FOR INDUCTANCE CALCULATION OF AIR‐CORE COILS SYSTEM
1994
The paper deals with the inductance calculation of air‐core coils system by means of 3‐D analysis of magnetic field of the coils with rectangular cross‐section. The possibility of mutual and self‐inductance calculation is presented. For magnetic field calculation, the Finite Difference Method with application of fast calculating procedures was applied. The method of calculation has been verified by experiments. The obtained difference between calculating and measurement results is equal to a few percent. The computer program is usefull especially for asymmetrical configuration of the coils.
Plakana profila divslāņu indukcijas spoles izveide
2015
Multiwavelength monitoring of BD+53°2790 , the optical counterpart to 4U 2206+54
2005
We present the results of our long-term monitoring of BD+53 2790, the optical counterpart to the X-ray source 4U~2206+54. Unlike previous studies that classify the source as a Be/X-ray binary, we find that its optical and infrared properties differ from those of typical Be stars: the variability of the V/R ratio is not cyclical; there are variations in the shape and strength of the H$\alpha$ emission line on timescales less than 1 day; and no correlation between the EW and the IR magnitudes or colors is seen. Our observations suggest that BD+53 2790 is very likely a peculiar O9.5V star. In spite of exhaustive searches we cannot find any significant modulation in any emission line parameter …
Unprecedented coexistence of cyano-bridged Mn4(III)Cr(III) and Mn2(III)Cr(III) heterobimetallic complexes in one single crystal.
2008
The penta-[{MnIII(4-MeO-salen)(H2O)(micro-CN)}4CrIII(CN)2]+ and trinuclear [{MnIII(4-MeO-salen)(H2O)(micro-CN)}2CrIII(CN)4](-) units coexist in 1 with weak antiferromagnetic interactions which are overcome by a dc magnetic field of 2.5 T.
A Novel Dinuclear Fe II Spin‐Crossover Complex Based on a 2,2‐Bipyrimidine Bridge Ligand: [Fe(CH 3 bipy)(NCS) 2 ] 2 bpym
2004
The dinuclear iron(II) complex {[Fe(CH3bipy)(NCS)2]2bpym} has been synthesised and its crystal structure determined at 293 K. The magnetic properties display intramolecular antiferromagnetic coupling at 1 bar (J = −4.2 cm−1), and the onset of a pressure-induced spin conversion is observed at 11 kbar. Magnetic field Mossbauer measurements have been carried out at 4.2 K, and indicate that the HS species correspond to [HS-HS] pairs. (© Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2004)
