Influence of cell immobilization on the production of benzaldehyde and benzyl alcohol by the white-rot fungi Bjerkandera adusta, Ischnoderma benzoinu…
1997
International audience; Three white-rot basidiomycetes, Bjerkandera adusta, Ischnoderma benzoinum and Dichomitus squalens, were cultivated on a liquid medium supplemented with l-phenylalanine, a precursor for benzaldehyde (bitter almond aroma) and benzyl alcohol. Remarkable amounts of benzaldehyde (587 mg l−1) were found in cultures of B. adusta. Immobilization of this fungus on polyurethane foam cubes allowed an 8.3-fold increase of the production of benzaldehyde and a 15-fold increase of the productivity as compared with non-immobilized cells. Aryl-alcohol oxidase activity was only detected in B. adusta. This activity was also significantly enhanced in immobilized cells, suggesting that i…
La constitución del parlamento en caso de presuntas irregularidades electorales: Comentario a la stedh de 10 de julio de 2020 : Caso mugemangango c. …
2021
The ECHR analyzes, through this judgment, a claim based on the violation of the rights to free elections and to an effective remedy, the origin of which is found in a series of alleged electoral irregularities. The national body that had to resolve this issue was not impartial, and the complaint procedure lacked adequate and sufficient guarantees

A five-coordinate manganese(iii) complex of a salen type ligand with a positive axial anisotropy parameter D.
2017
A new high-spin d4 roughly trigonal–bipyramidal (TBP) manganese(III) complex with a salen type ligand (H2L), namely MnL(NCS)·0.4H2O, has been synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis, ESI mass spectrometry, IR and UV-vis spectroscopy, and spectroelectrochemistry. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed an axial compression of the approximate TBP. Temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility and variable-temperature variable-field (VTVH) magnetisation measurements, as well as high-frequency and -field EPR (HFEPR) spectroscopy, were used to accurately describe the magnetic properties of this complex and, in particular, determine the spin Hamiltonian parameters: g-values and the zero-f…
Prenatal manganese exposure and neuropsychological development in early childhood in the INMA cohort.
2020
Abstract Introduction Manganese (Mn) is an essential element, diet being its main source. Some epidemiological studies have found that a prenatal excess of Mn could negatively affect neuropsychological development during infancy, but the evidence is inconclusive. The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between maternal serum Mn concentrations and child neuropsychological development assessed at 1 year of age. Methods study subjects were 1179 mother–child pairs from two Spanish cohorts (Valencia and Gipuzkoa) of the INMA (Environment and Childhood) Project. Mn was measured in serum samples collected during the first trimester of pregnancy. Child neuropsychological development w…

A new manganese(III) oxamato dimer possesing an unprecedented Mn2(μ-O2CR)(μ-OH2⋯O2 CR) core has been synthesised, structurally and magnetically characterised, and used as a catalyst for the oxidation of alkanes to alcohols and ketones by ButO2H and O2 in CH2Cl2 at rt.
Theoretical characterization of iron and manganese porphyrins for catalyzed saturated alkane hydroxylations
1997
Abstract The theoretical characterization of porphin (H2Por), iron and manganese porphyrins MIII(Por) and their chlorine derivatives MIII(Por)Cl has been carried out. This work represents a first step for modelling catalyzed saturated alkane hydroxylations. The chlorine atom is responsible for the existence of a dipole moment of 1.2–2.0 D in the MIII(Por)Cl molecules and for a negative value of the mean quadrupole moment (−16–(−14)DA). The charge of the metal atom (1.8–2.2 e) is rather varied (to 2.1–2.6 e) and the effective polarizability (2.8–2.9 A3) is increased (to 3.5–3.6 A3) by the addition of the chlorine atom. Starting from the porphin molecule, the presence of the metal atom decrea…
Determination of nitrite by inhibition of the chemiluminescence of acriflavine in a flow-injection assembly
2001
The indirect determination of nitrite was performed with a flow-injection assembly on the basis of the inhibition of the analytical output obtained in a luminometer by oxidation of acriflavine. The acriflavine solution merged with the nitrite and the resulting mixture was injected into a pure water stream. This solution merged with the oxidant solution (potassium permanganate in sulfuric acid medium) and the resulting chemiluminiscence was affected (inhibited) by the presence of nitrite after reaction with the aminoacridine. The method was applicable over the range 10–800 μg l−1 of nitrite with a correlation coefficient of 0.9960. The relative standard deviation was 1.4% and the throughput …
Spectrophotometric determination of promazine with an oxidative column in FIA manifolds
1992
Abstract A simple flow-injection spectrophotometric method for the determination of promazine is described. The two proposed procedures are based on the oxidation of analyte with a manganese dioxide column. Concentrations of promazine in the ranges 2–20 and 1–6 are determined with a relative standard deviation of 1.0%. The injection rates are 62 and 80 samples h −1 , respectively. The influence of foreign species and the determination of promazine in a pharmaceutical formulation are also reported.
Determination of tannic acid by direct chemiluminescence in a FIA assembly
2002
The determination of tannic acid is performed in a FIA assembly on the basis of the analytical output obtained by oxidation of the acid. The analyte solution was daily prepared in a mixture of quinine as sensitiser and perchloric acid and it was injected into a pure water stream acting as a carrier. This solution merges with the mixture potassium permanganate in perchloric medium and the resulting chemiluminescence is monitored. The method was applied over the range 0.5-20 mg l(-1) of tannic acid with a LOD 100 mug l(-1). The reproducibility was 2.1% and the sample throughput 54 h(-1). The influence of foreign substances was studied and the new method is applied to the determination of tann…
