Albert Soubies et Charles Malherbe : contributions à l’histoire de l’Opéra-Comique

International audience; Cet article traite de plusieurs ouvrages écrits sur l’Opéra-Comique au tournant des xixe et xxe siècles. Il s’arrête en particulier sur les livres d’Arthur Pougin, Albert Soubies et Charles Malherbe. Les préfaces des ouvrages sont analysées pour comprendre les intentions historiques qui animent ces auteurs. Sur quelles sources travaillent-ils ? Quelles sont les places respectives de la compilation d’autres ouvrages et de l’analyse du document original ? Une attention particulière est portée à l’Almanach des spectacles édité par Soubies à partir de 1874, et à son utilisation.

Several studies have described lncRNAs alterations in patients with solid tumors. In particular, in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST), upregulation of HOTAIR has been associated with aggressiveness, metastasis, and poor patients’ survival. Forecasting correlated time series with exponential smoothing models

Abstract This paper presents the Bayesian analysis of a general multivariate exponential smoothing model that allows us to forecast time series jointly, subject to correlated random disturbances. The general multivariate model, which can be formulated as a seemingly unrelated regression model, includes the previously studied homogeneous multivariate Holt-Winters’ model as a special case when all of the univariate series share a common structure. MCMC simulation techniques are required in order to approach the non-analytically tractable posterior distribution of the model parameters. Foreign Market Entry Mode Research: A Review and Research Agenda

ABSTRACTThis article gives a retrospective look at the main determinants of foreign market entry modes and examines the variables and conditions used in empirical studies in this stream of research. We found that there is an “analytical context hazard” in past studies. The findings suggest: first, future research should focus on developing and extending theories with reference to strategy dimension and market/industry environment; second, the interrelationship between the main entry mode determinants should be figured out; third, attention has to be paid to the entry modes of firms from non-developed economies in research.
A Light Insight into Latvian and Lithuanian ICT Terminology: Whether Kindred Language Imply Kindred Terminology?

Lithuanian and Latvian are two closely related languages, the only two of the Baltic branch of Indo-European languages. They are quite similar and share a great deal of vocabulary and grammar features, but not close enough to make conversation possible. The paper reveals that commonalities between Latvian and Lithuanian information and communication technologies (ICT) terms are mostly due internationalisms, there are only small proportion of terms with common Baltic word-roots; influence of English language in Latvian and Lithuanian ICT terminology is moderate, if not minor; deliberately or unawares, Lithuanian terminologists follow the same rules as their Latvian counterparts.

Value, satisfaction and loyalty in volunteerism. Application to a religious megaevent

This paper presents a study of the volunteer as an essential agent in the success of any event, and offers recommendations for improving management of megaevents. To achieve this goal we propose a structural model that analyses the multidimensionality of the value concept as antecedent of perceived value, satisfaction and loyalty. The study sample consists of volunteers who participated in the World Youth Day held in Madrid in 2011, obtaining a total number of 1427 cases. Abstract Widespread metastasis is a major problem for the treatment of high-risk neuroblastoma. Relevant neuroblastoma animal models are hence needed to study and target high-risk metastatic neuroblastoma. We developed neuroblastoma patient-derived orthotopic xenografts (PDXs) using viably cryopreserved or fresh patient neuroblastoma fragments which were implanted orthotopically into immunodeficient NSG mice. Immunohistochemistry showed that PDXs retain neuroblastoma markers and a highly infiltrative growth pattern. Importantly, we found distant metastasis to lungs, liver and bone marrow.
