Spectroscopic behaviour of metal–drug complexes. Infrared spectra of Cu(II) complexes with 5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol (Hatm)
1997
Abstract The infrared spectra of the drug Hatm and its copper (II) complexes with stoichiometry [Cu(atm) 2 (H 2 O)] and [Cu(Hatm)(HIm) 2 (SO 4 )] are reported and discussed. The Raman spectrum of Hatm is also reported. An assignment of Hatm, HIm, H 2 O and SO 4 modes in the complexes is proposed in comparison with the modes of the free ligands. Important information about the metal–ligand vibrations has been obtained.
Morphogenesis in callus and single-cell cultures ofLavandula latifoliaMedicus
1990
Procedures and factors promoting plant regeneration from callus and isolated cells were investigated in Lavandula latifolia Medicus. Callus was obtained from cotyledon explants cultured on MS medium supplemented with 0.34 (xM 2,4-D. These calli regenerated adventitious buds when transferred to MS medium containing either BA or several auxin (IAA or NAA)/BA combinations, best results being obtained in the presence of 8.80 (mi BA alone or in combination with 0.06 and 0.60 (xM IAA or NAA. Single cells from cotyledon-derived calli were able to proliferate as callus when plated in MS medium supplemented with IAA or several IAA/BA combinations. Best plating efficiency was achieved when cells were…
Regulatory Changes in Pterin and Carotenoid Genes Underlie Balanced Color Polymorphisms in the Wall Lizard
2018
ABSTRACTReptiles use pterin and carotenoid pigments to produce yellow, orange, and red colors. These conspicuous colors serve a diversity of signaling functions, but their molecular basis remains unresolved. Here, we show that the genomes of sympatric color morphs of the European common wall lizard, which differ in orange and yellow pigmentation and in their ecology and behavior, are virtually undifferentiated. Genetic differences are restricted to two small regulatory regions, near genes associated with pterin (SPR) and carotenoid metabolism (BCO2), demonstrating that a core gene in the housekeeping pathway of pterin biosynthesis has been co-opted for bright coloration in reptiles and indi…
Die copolymerisation des acroleins mit einigen vinylmonomeren. Polymere acroleine. 9. Mitt.
1958
The copolymerisation of acrolein in aqueous medium has been investigated and the reactivity ratios of the following systems were determined: acrolein/acrylonitrile (r1 = 1.09; r2 = 0.77 ); acrolein/acrylamide (r1 = 2.0; r2 = 0.76); acrolein/methacrylate (r1 = 0.2; r2 =…
ChemInform Abstract: Highlights on Contemporary Recognition and Sensing of Fluoride Anion in Solution and in the Solid State
2013
The fluoride anion has recently gained well deserved attention among the scientific community for its importance in many fields of human activities, but also for concerns on its effect on health and the environment. Although surprisingly overlooked in systematic studies in the past, fluoride has nowadays become a topical target in the field of anion recognition. A multitude of scientific reports are published every year where the establishment of efficient and specific interaction with fluoride is sought in polar and aqueous media. Here, the emphasis is directed to a detailed description of the most interesting contemporary studies in the field, with a particular focus given to those publis…

Temperature and pH Dependence of Gd-DOTA and Gd-DTPA Complexes Dissociation Studied by EXAFS
1997
The Gd L3-edge of Gd(DTPA) 2- and Gd(DOTA) - complexes, in crystalline state and aqueous solutions presenting various pH (0.15-8) at different temperatures (25-90 °C), are investigated by XAFS experiments. For the Gd(DTPA) 2- . complexes we observe a strong pH (0.15-1.5) dependence of XAFS signals. On the other hand, the XAFS signals of Gd(DOTA) - complexes exhibit a light pH (1-1.5) dependence and for pH<1 we observe a ligand decomposition. Conceming both complexes, we note just a light temperature dependence. To obtain information about the short and medium range order (up to 5 A), multiple scattering calculation is performed. For the first coordination shell, we apply multi-shell fitting…

2015
A com. epoxy resin was modified by addn. of aliph. polyamine, graphite, a poly-α-olefin oil and phosphate fire retardant, cured at 130°C and studied for friction coeff. in contact with steel, heat resistance and mech. strength. The addn. of graphite resulted in a decrease in the resin hardness, impact strength and friction coeff.
