Notwithstanding diverse opinions and debates about mixing methods, mixed methods research (MMR) is increasingly being used in sport and exercise psychology. In this paper, we describe MMR trends within leading sport and exercise psychology journals and explore critical realism as a possible underpinning framework for conducting MMR. No otras puses, līdzīgi pētījumi ik gadu tiek veikti un ir zināmi kā starptautiskie lasītprasmes novērtēšanas pētījumi (PIRLS), kur tiek noteiktas lasīšanas spējas sākumskolas skolēniem. Taču oficiālu datu par kopējo lasītprasmes līmeni pusaudžiem, lasot svešvalodā, ir nepietiekami. Tā kā svešvalodas apguve ir saistīta ar dzimtās valodas izpratni, tiek uzsvērta metakognitīvā pieeja un kā viena no metakognitīvām stratēģijām minēti ir lasīšanas detektīvi. The central question concerning how mission and ethics are related arises within the context of the understanding of ethics itself and in this way often leads back to the familiar ‘indicative and imperative’ model. This oversimplified approach, however, is ultimately inadequate for the Pauline ethic in general and for the particular problem concerning mission and ethics. Emotional and meta-emotional intelligence as predictors of adjustment problems in students with Specific Learning Disorders

The purpose of this study was to analyse adjustment problems in a group of adolescents with a Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), examining to what extent they depend on the severity level of the learning disorder and/or on the individual‟s level of emotional intelligence. Adjustment problems,, perceived severity levels of SLD, and emotional and meta-emotional intelligence were examined in 34 adolescents with SLD. Results demonstrated that emotional beliefs, emotional self-concept and emotional intelligence are very important factors in the psychological adjustment of adolescents with SLD.
