Olive oil intake and risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality in the PREDIMED Study

[Background] It is unknown whether individuals at high cardiovascular risk sustain a benefit in cardiovascular disease from increased olive oil consumption. The aim was to assess the association between total olive oil intake, its varieties (extra virgin and common olive oil) and the risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality in a Mediterranean population at high cardiovascular risk.

Nitrate is a natural constituent of the human diet and an approved food additive. It can be partially converted to nitrogen monoxide, which induces vasodilation and thereby decreases blood pressure. This effect is associated with a reduced risk regarding cardiovascular disease, myocardial infarction, and stroke. Moreover, dietary nitrate has been associated with beneficial effects in patients with gastric ulcer, renal failure, or metabolic syndrome. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt uzņēmuma “AVG” iekšējās kontroles sistēmu, novērtēt tās atbilstību darbā pētītajām iekšējās kontroles sistēmas teorētiskajām prasībām un izstrādāt priekšlikumus uzņēmuma „AVG” iekšējās kontroles sistēmas pilnveidošanai. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, tiek salīdzināti dažādi literatūras avoti, izpētot IKS teorētiskos aspektus, tiek raksturota SIA „AVG” saimnieciskā darbība, tiek izpētīta uzņēmuma IKS, intervējot uzņēmuma vadību un anketējot darbiniekus. Efektīvi izstrādāta iekšēja kontroles sistēma ir galvenais faktors uzņēmuma veiksmīgai darbībai, kas palīdz sasniegt mērķus, laicīgi identificēt un novērst iespējamos riskus. Diplomdarba mērķis ir veikt uzņēmuma SIA “Z” iekšējas kontroles sistēmas analīzi un izstrādāt priekšlikumus tās pilnveidošanai. Lai sasniegtu diplomdarba mērķi, tiek pētīti literatūras avoti, interneta resursi un uzņēmuma iekšējie dokumenti. Autore, pamatojoties uz teorijas, uzņēmuma izpētes un darbinieku aptaujas rezultātiem, konstatēja, ka SIA “Z” iekšējas kontroles sistēmai ir trūkumi. Darba nobeigumā tiek sniegti ieteikumi iekšējās kontroles sistēmas nepilnību novēršanai.

No existing research has been addressed to the application of the entropy concept for evaluating the effect of secondary flow which especially develops in curved channels.
