Electrical characterization of CIGSSe photovoltaic modules

This work describes the electrical characterization of CIG(S,Se) 2 sub-modules in order to compare the related performances with those obtained from traditional silicon photovoltaic modules. This characterization has been performed through means of a test bench, mainly composed by a solar simulator equipment, allowing the determination of the parameters of the prototypes under test at different irradiances and temperatures.

Hardware implementation of content based video indexing algorithms

This paper focus on hardware implementation of content based video indexing techniques by using the FPGA technology. We aim to propose hardware modules that can satisfy requirements of constrained applications, such as real time applications and complex applications that can combine a large number of techniques in the same indexing system. Two-current correlations in the pion in the Nambu and Jona-Lasinio model

We present an analysis of two-current correlations for the pion in the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model, with Pauli--Villars regularization. We provide explicit expressions in momentum space for two-current correlations corresponding to the zeroth component of the vector Dirac bilinear in the quark vertices, which has been evaluated on the lattice. The numerical results show a remarkable qualitative agreement with recent lattice data. The factorization approximation into one-body currents is discussed.

Design, sizing and set up of a specific low cost electronic load for PV modules characterization

In this paper, the design, sizing and set-up of a specific low cost electronic load, based on a DC-DC step-down converter, suitable for the PV module I - V characteristic curves determination, is described. In particular, for its set up, a low cost and user friendly micro-controller has been employed in order to generate the PWM signal. The measures carried out connecting the electronic load prototype to a commercial PV module are here presented and discussed. On operads, bimodules and analytic functors

We develop further the theory of operads and analytic functors. In particular, we introduce a bicategory that has operads as 0-cells, operad bimodules as 1-cells and operad bimodule maps as 2-cells, and prove that this bicategory is cartesian closed. In order to obtain this result, we extend the theory of distributors and the formal theory of monads.

Inhibitory activities of short linear motifs underlie Hox interactome specificity in vivo

Hox proteins are well-established developmental regulators that coordinate cell fate and morphogenesis throughout embryogenesis. In contrast, our knowledge of their specific molecular modes of action is limited to the interaction with few cofactors. Here, we show that Hox proteins are able to interact with a wide range of transcription factors in the live Drosophila embryo. In this context, specificity relies on a versatile usage of conserved short linear motifs (SLiMs), which, surprisingly, often restrains the interaction potential of Hox proteins.
