Graded polynomial identities and Specht property of the Lie algebrasl2
2013
Abstract Let G be a group. The Lie algebra sl 2 of 2 × 2 traceless matrices over a field K can be endowed up to isomorphism, with three distinct non-trivial G-gradings induced by the groups Z 2 , Z 2 × Z 2 and Z . It has been recently shown (Koshlukov, 2008 [8] ) that for each grading the ideal of G-graded identities has a finite basis. In this paper we prove that when char ( K ) = 0 , the algebra sl 2 endowed with each of the above three gradings has an ideal of graded identities Id G ( sl 2 ) satisfying the Specht property, i.e., every ideal of graded identities containing Id G ( sl 2 ) is finitely based.
Hardware implementation of content based video indexing algorithms
2005
This paper focus on hardware implementation of content based video indexing techniques by using the FPGA technology. We aim to propose hardware modules that can satisfy requirements of constrained applications, such as real time applications and complex applications that can combine a large number of techniques in the same indexing system. We represent tow examples of micro-architectures related to the dominant colors descriptor and the compact color descriptor.
On operads, bimodules and analytic functors
2017
We develop further the theory of operads and analytic functors. In particular, we introduce a bicategory that has operads as 0-cells, operad bimodules as 1-cells and operad bimodule maps as 2-cells, and prove that this bicategory is cartesian closed. In order to obtain this result, we extend the theory of distributors and the formal theory of monads.

Infrared facets of the three-gluon vertex
2021
We present novel lattice results for the form factors of the quenched three-gluon vertex of QCD, in two special kinematic configurations that depend on a single momentum scale. We consider three form factors, two associated with a classical tensor structure and one without tree-level counterpart, exhibiting markedly different infrared behaviors. Specifically, while the former display the typical suppression driven by a negative logarithmic singularity at the origin, the latter saturates at a small negative constant. These exceptional features are analyzed within the Schwinger-Dyson framework, with the aid of special relations obtained from the Slavnov-Taylor identities of the theory. The em…
Nonperturbative gluon and ghost propagators in d = 3
2010
We study the nonperturbative gluon and ghost propagators in d=3 Yang-Mills, using the Schwinger-Dyson equations of the pinch technique. The use of the Schwinger mechanism leads to the dynamical generation of a gluon mass, which, in turn, gives rise to an infrared finite gluon propagator and ghost dressing function. The propagators obtained are in very good agreement with the results of SU(2) lattice simulations.
Nonperturbative study of the four gluon vertex
2014
In this paper we study the nonperturbative structure of the SU(3) four-gluon vertex in the Landau gauge, concentrating on contributions quadratic in the metric. We employ an approximation scheme where "one-loop" diagrams are computed using fully dressed gluon and ghost propagators, and tree-level vertices. When a suitable kinematical configuration depending on a single momentum scale $p$ is chosen, only two structures emerge: the tree-level four-gluon vertex, and a tensor orthogonal to it. A detailed numerical analysis reveals that the form factor associated with this latter tensor displays a change of sign (zero-crossing) in the deep infrared, and finally diverges logarithmically. The orig…
External derivations of internal groupoids
2008
If His a G-crossed module, the set of derivations of Gin H is a monoid under the Whitehead product of derivations. We interpret the Whitehead product using the correspondence between crossed modules and internal groupoids in the category of groups. Working in the general context of internal groupoids in a finitely complete category, we relate derivations to holomorphisms, translations, affine transformations, and to the embedding category of a groupoid. Assessment of the Usability and Accuracy of Two-Diode Models for Photovoltaic Modules
2017
Many diode-based equivalent circuits for simulating the electrical behaviour of photovoltaic (PV) cells and panels are reported in the scientific literature. Two-diode equivalent circuits, which require more complex procedures to calculate the seven model parameters, are less numerous. The model parameters are generally calculated using the data extracted from the datasheets issued by the PV panel manufactures and adopting simplifying hypotheses and numerical solving techniques. A criterion for rating both the usability and accuracy of two-diode models is proposed in this paper with the aim of supporting researchers and designers, working in the area of PV systems, to select and use a model…
Incidence of PV module rated power tolerances on PV system energy production
2016
Discussing the electrical energy production of a PV system realized by PV modules with a large range of tolerance for the rated power values is the aim of this paper. In particular, the paper shows how the incidence of tolerance can be significant, in terms of output power reduction, when the PV system works in partial shading condition. For this issue, using a tool developed for this purpose, several simulations have been run, which consider different tolerance values for the module rated power and different shading patterns for the PV array. The authors quantify the peak power values of the different system configurations, showing the importance of the choice of modules with reduced toler…
