Imidazolium-based ionic liquids (ILs) serve both as recyclable reaction media and as precatalysts for the N-heterocyclic carbene-catalyzed conjugate addition of α,β-unsaturated aldehydes to chalcones. The reaction produces a broad scope of 1,6-ketoesters incorporating an anti-diphenyl moiety in high yields and with high stereoselectivity. In recycling experiments, the IL can be reused up to five times with retained reactivity and selectivity. Moreover, the 1,6-ketoesters form self-assembled organogels in aliphatic hydrocarbons. Quantifying the contribution of nitrification and denitrification to the nitrous oxide flux using 15N tracers.

Relative contributions of both processes to N2O emissions were estimated on an agricultural soil using 15N isotope tracers (15NH4+ or 15NO3-), for a 10-day batch experiment. Under unsaturated and saturated conditions, both processes were significantly involved in N2O production. Under unsaturated conditions, 60% of N-N2O came from nitrification, while denitrification contributed around 85-90% under saturated conditions. Histologisch lassen sich bei Serienschnitten kommunizierende Systeme von Gascysten nachweisen, die bei Jugendlichen submucos und im hoheren Alter subseros liegen. Die Zusammensetzung des Gases entspricht der der Atemluft.

When does Regression discontinuity design work? Evidence from random election outcomes

We use elections data in which a large number of ties in vote counts between candidates are resolved via a lottery to study the personal incumbency advantage. We benchmark non‐experimental regression discontinuity design (RDD) estimates against the estimate produced by this experiment that takes place exactly at the cutoff. The experimental estimate suggests that there is no personal incumbency advantage. In contrast, conventional local polynomial RDD estimates suggest a moderate and statistically significant effect. Sur le plateau du Roumois, le lieu-dit Moulin Vaquet à Honguemare-Guenouville (Eure) était occupé entre le VIIe et le Xe siècle par un village, habitat rural polarisé autour d’une nécropole probablement dominée par une église de bois. La fouille de ce site par la MADE sur 8 600m2 complète celle de l’INRAP à quelques centaines de mètres.
