The enthalpies of precipitation, of AgCl, Agl, Ag2S and silver tetraphenylborate (AgTPB) in water containing reversed sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT) micelles as a function of the molar concentration ratio R (R=[water]/[AOT]) at various concentrations of AOT and reagent salts, were measured by a calorimetric technique. The molar enthalpies of precipitation are independent of the surfactant concentration but are dependent on the concentration of the reagent salts and the R value. The molar enthalpies for the same processes in bulk water are not approached even at the highest R value. The densities of 1-propanol + water + calcium nitrate mixtures have been measured with an oscillating-tube densimeter over a large range of concentrations of the salt and 1-propanol, at 298.15 K. From these densities, apparent molar volumes of calcium nitrate in 1-propanol + water mixtures have been calculated, and partial molar volumes at infinite dilution have been evaluated.

Inflammatory cells are increased in the airways of endurance athletes, but their role in causing exercise-induced respiratory symptoms and bronchoconstriction, or their possible long-term consequences, are uncertain.To put the results of athlete studies in perspective, by analysing the pathogenesis of airway cell changes and their impact on respiratory function.Athletes of different endurance sports at rest showed increased airway neutrophils. The physical forces operative in the fluid migration from the interstitial spaces into the blister cleft have not been directly measured until now. The colloid osmotic pressure and the total osmolality were determined in suction blister fluid after mild suction blister production by a modified “Dermovac” and in blister fluid of patients with dermatitis herpetiformis, bullous allergic contact dermatitis and pemphigus vulgaris and in the sera of healthy persons. ABSTRACT: Iontophoretic transdermal delivery of sumatriptan was investigated in vitro . Among the conditions tested, 0.25 mA/cm 2 and low ionic strength (NaCl 25 mM) was the best experimental condition to increase its transport across the skin. Abstract Aqueous NaOH with ethanol (strong) etchant is widely used. It shortens etching time effectively compared to normal etching conditions (6.25N NaOH at 70 °C). Two equations have been proposed to calculate the etching time with NaOH molarity and ethanol volume. Another two empirical equations were introduced for estimating the bulk etch rates of PADC etched in strong etchant.
