Cross-cultural differences in consumer quality perception of rice

International audience; Most aspects of food product quality perception are culture-bound. We present a cross-cultural study aiming at understandinghow consumers from four countries (French, Japanese, Korean and Thai) perceive, describe and appreciate rice and ricequality. Marked differences were found in participants' motivation to consume rice: sensory and commodity in France; sensoryand health in Japan; nutrition and commodity in Thailand; and nutrition, health and safety in Korea. Šis pētījums atklāj projektos balstītās izglītības kā pedagoģiskā risinājuma potenciālu mācīšanās motivācijas dažādībai sākumskolā. Tika izpētīti skolēnu motivācijas veidi dažās Madrides (Fuenlabradas) pamatskolās, kur izmanto dažādas mācīšanās un mācīšanas metodes, un salīdzināti motivācijas veidi starp skolēniem, kuru skolās izmanot tradicionālās metodes, un tiem, kuru skolās izmanto projektos balstīto izglītību. Convergence of voices: assimilation in linguistic therapy of evaluation.

This paper shows the convergence of voices in psychotherapy in the context of the assimilation model. Convergence is the link between patients' voices within the community of voices. The main aim of the paper was to explore (a) how convergence (and divergence) is shown during sessions and the usefulness of convergence for the process of assimilation; (b) if a well-structured patient is able to track the sociohistorical antecedents of his/her main voices; and (c) if, at the end of the therapy, the self becomes richer and with more resources. The objective of this thesis was on the one hand to identify the motives for dropout handballers and the basketballers Syrian women and to test on the other hand three theoretical models which explain the dropout of sport. A first study (N = 402) attempted to identify the reasons for dropout for these players. The results showed that the players estimate that certain reasons (e.g., to get pregnant, to have a husband which does not make it possible to his wife any more to make sport) are very important to give up sport. The overarching goal of this paper is to contribute to our understanding of the interplay between students’ disciplinary engagement and their identity construction. The term appropriation, borrowed from scholars in linguistics and education, was chosen to capture this broader sense of productive learning that sits at the nexus of disciplinary engagement and identity.
