This paper explores the process and impact of the implementation of the Nature Tour mobile learning application in Finnish early childhood education settings. The interest is to explore whether the concept of Nature Tour mobile application meets the needs of early childhood education in field trips. Implantación de recursos didácticos digitales en asignaturas de Organización de Empresas

El objetivo de este artículo es presentar el protocolo de implantación de diversas herramientas didácticas, así como el nivel de satisfacción de los estudiantes que las utilizan. Los resultados muestran, primero, que no es posible crear un único protocolo aplicable a todos los recursos, debido a las diferencias en los objetivos didácticos existentes. Segundo, la valoración que los estudiantes hacen de la utilización de los recursos es muy positiva, aunque existen algunas diferencias entre las distintas herramientas. Estos resultados permiten mejorar los recursos y adecuarlos al perfil de los estudiantes para que éstos puedan sacar el mayor provecho posible.

Augmented Reality Aided 3D Modelling

The purpose of the article is to introduce possibilities of using Augmented Reality instructions in order to better understand technical drawings. The aim of these instructions based on 3D models is to create AR training applications and analyze their impact on the users. These instructions consist in a 3D model, superimposed over the technical drawing. The AR application also offers step by step instructions for 3D modelling in CAD software, which are very useful in creating the 3D model starting from a technical drawing. GPCALMA, a mammographic CAD in a GRID connection

Purpose of this work is the development of an automatic system which could be useful for radiologists in the investigation of breast cancer. A breast neoplasia is often marked by the presence of microcalcifications and massive lesions in the mammogram: hence the need for tools able to recognize such lesions at an early stage. Engaging learners through virtual worlds

Abstract The aim of this paper is to explore how virtual worlds could support the engagement for learning. This paper reviews the results of studies that utilized virtual worlds to engage learners. The results are examined in two levels, namely learning gains and design principles. It has been found out that deeper learner engagement results in higher learning gains. In some studies better content retention is also noted. Many studies also suggest design principles for using virtual worlds for facilitating engaged learning. This paper builds a framework for the design and use of virtual worlds in education for better learner engagement.
