Enregistrer les interactions au restaurant : atouts et contraintes d’un cadre expérimental

Dans le cadre d’un travail de recherche en Analyse Conversationnelle (Sacks, 1992) traitant des dimensions linguistiques et multimodales des interactions entre le personnel de service et les clients lors d’un repas au restaurant, nous avons élaboré une partie de notre corpus dans un restaurant expérimental équipé d’un système d’enregistrement audio et vidéo. Multimodal Communication and Peer Interaction during Equation-Solving Sessions with and without Tangible Technologies

Despite the increasing use of technologies in the classroom, there are concerns that technology-enhanced learning environments may hinder students’ communication and interaction. In this study, we investigated how tangible technologies can enhance students’ multimodal communication and interaction during equation-solving pair work compared to working without such technologies. A Design-Oriented Analysis of Multimodality in English as a Foreign Language

This empirical article investigates multimodality in English as a foreign language, both as seen in the use of multimodal texts as artefacts and pedagogical texts for learning, and through an analysis of the multimodal learning designs. We present observations from a year 10 classroom in Norway that worked with the novel The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (Alexie, 2007). Designing knowledge construction in pre-service teachers’ collaborative planning talk

In this paper, we report on a qualitative study of student teachers’ collaboration in planning and implementing a course that integrated physics and the Finnish language. Audio-recorded planning sessions and interviews were examined using qualitative content analysis, first, to discover what kind of space for knowledge construction student teachers designed for learners and, second, to identify the characteristics of their collaboration in developing a new cross-disciplinary pedagogical practice.
