The role of NFkappaB inducing kinase (NIK) in the pathogenicity of EAE

pathways (PTPN6, SLC3A2, VAV3, DDR1) and modulators of oxidative stress (MT1A, HMOX1, SLC30A1) were also significantly affected by the CBD treatment. The microarray results were confirmed using qPCR on selected gene targets. Immunoblotting demonstrated that CBD reduces IL-17 by decreasing STAT3 phosphorylation and increasing that of STAT5. In conclusion, our observations increase our understanding of the mechanisms of the anti-inflammatory activities of CBD.

Chaperonopathies and chaperonotherapy. Hsp60 as therapeutic target in cancer: potential benefits and risks.

In this minireview we focus on Hsp60 as a target for anticancer therapy. We discuss the new concepts of chaperonopathies and chaperonotherapy and present information on Hsp60 localization in the cell membrane of human tumor cells. We describe novel mechanisms for Hsp60 reaching the extracellular environment that involve membrane-associated stages, as well as data on anti-Hsp60 antibodies found in human sera, both in normal subjects and patients affected by autoimmune diseases. Finally, we discuss possible therapeutic applications of anti-Hsp60 antibodies in cancer treatment, evaluating also side effects on non-tumor cells. Reactions Occurring during the Melt Mixing of Nylon 6 and Oxazoline−Cyclophosphazene Units

Specific reactions of amino and carboxyl end groups of Nylon 6 with the reactive oxazoline groups belonging to a cyclophosphazene compound (referred as CP20XA) were carried out at 240 °C for different times, under inert atmosphere. Ny6 polymers terminated with one specific reactive chain end (-COOH or NH2) were reacted with different amounts of CP20XA to study the kinetic order of the reactions. All Ny6-CP20XA reacted products soluble in trifluoroethanol (TFE) were well characterized by MALDI-TOF MS, FT-IR and ( 1H and 13C) NMR techniques. Economically, the County of Sibiu has been characterized, especially after 2007, by an accelerated speed of development, the recorded increase pushing our County among the most dynamic economies at regional and national level as well. The present paper aims at analyzing the specificity of the economic development of Sibiu County, namely to identify the resources of the obtained economic progress. The purpose of this study also consists in identifying new opportunities for the local economy, outlining new sources of development that are more important as competition, both at regional and national level, is tighter and tighter.
