Cross-cultural investigations in management prevail over those on for-profit organizations, while intercultural studies on protected natural areas is a relatively untapped field of research. This thesis proposes cross-cultural models (adapted from the existing model of Hofstede, along with marketing and management concepts) for the analysis of the park management and visitor experiences at (protected) European natural parks. Among the various methods used, the most relevant were the semi-directed interviews with actors of the park management and the visitor survey, while document analysis and observations also completed our findings. Le Campus DO.RE.MI.HE. a eu comme objectif général l’élaboration d’un projet intégré de mise en valeur du patrimoine culturel et paysager en mesure de générer à l’aide d’une approche réticulaire, une intégration étroite entre le site archéologique, la Vallée et son paysage et le vaste système urbain et territorial.

For the transition towards agricultural production systems that are less dependent on herbicides, the use of weed regulation by seed-eating carabids is of great interest. Weed seed predation by carabids is variable and occurs within a complex context of many biotic interactions. This complexity partly explains our current inability to predict levels of in-field weed regulation. In this thesis, I analysed variations in the levels of predation and biological regulation of weeds and determined how they respond to two classes of biotic interactions: 1) the availability of alternative prey; and, 2) intra- and inter-specific interactions between the carabids themselves. Importance des récentes variations pluviométriques à Djibouti et besoins de quantification de leurs impacts

Ces dernières décennies, l’Afrique de l’Est souffre d’une longue et lente détérioration pluviométrique. De 2007 à 2011, la ville de Djibouti a enregistré un déficit de 73% des précipitations moyennes annuelles par rapport à la moyenne de 30 ans (1981-2010). Pour caractériser la sécheresse actuelle, nous analysons une série pluviométrique reconstruite pour Djibouti-Ville de 1901 à 2013, les données de terrain permettant d’illustrer les impacts de ces variations pluviométriques. Les précipitations enregistrées à Djibouti ne présentent aucune tendance sur le long terme (1901-2013).
