Zapobieganie stosowania technik neutralizacji jako zadanie wychowawcze
2017
Autorka w niniejszym artykule zwraca uwagę na zjawisko i mechanizmy usprawiedliwiania własnego zachowania z perspektywy psychologii poznawczej, psychologii społecznej i koncepcji kryminologicznej Sykesa i Matzy. Usprawiedliwianie własnego działania, jeśli skutecznie neutralizuje uczucia moralne, utrudnia jednostce uczenie się na własnych błędach, co prowadzi do powtarzania zachowań niezgodnych z normami społecznymi i prawnymi. To prosta droga do przestępczości. Dlatego rolą pedagogów je s t niedopuszczenie by dzieci i młodzież uczyli się sprawnych technik neutralizacji.
Latest Developments and Results of Radiation Tolerance CMOS Sensors with Small Collection Electrodes
2020
The development of radiation hard Depleted Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (DMAPS) targets the replacement of hybrid pixel detectors to meet radiation hardness requirements of at least 1.5e16 1 MeV neq/cm2 for the HL-LHC and beyond. DMAPS were designed and tested in the TJ180 nm TowerJazz CMOS imaging technology with small electrodes pixel designs. This technology reduces costs and provides granularity of 36.4x36.4 um2 with low power operation (1 uW/pixel), low noise of ENC < 20 e-, a small collection electrode (3 um) and fast signal response within 25 ns bunch crossing. This contribution will present the latest developments after the MALTA and Mini-MALTA sensors. It will illustrate the imp…
Electroencephalography as a Non-Invasive Biomarker of Alzheimer’s Disease: A Forgotten Candidate to Substitute CSF Molecules?
2021
Biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis are crucial in clinical practice. They should be objective and quantifiable and respond to specific therapeutic interventions. Optimal biomarkers should reflect the underlying process (pathological or not), be reproducible, widely available, and allow measurements repeatedly over time. Ideally, biomarkers should also be non-invasive and cost-effective. This review aims to focus on the usefulness and limitations of electroencephalography (EEG) in the search for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) biomarkers. The main aim of this article is to review the evolution of the most used biomarkers in AD and the need for new peripheral and, ideally, non-invasive b…
Parietal Cortex Connectivity as a Marker of Shift in Spatial Attention Following Continuous Theta Burst Stimulation
2021
Non-invasive brain stimulation is a useful tool to probe brain function and provide therapeutic treatments in disease. When applied to the right posterior parietal cortex (PPC) of healthy participants, it is possible to temporarily shift spatial attention and mimic symptoms of spatial neglect. However, the field of brain stimulation is plagued by issues of high response variability. The aim of this study was to investigate baseline functional connectivity as a predictor of response to an inhibitory brain stimulation paradigm applied to the right PPC. In fourteen healthy adults (9 female, aged 24.8 ± 4.0 years) we applied continuous theta burst stimulation (cTBS) to suppress activity in the …
Perceptual contents : a study on the nature of the contents of perceptual experience
2013
The aim of the thesis is to examine various views that have been advocated in contemporary discussions concerning the content of perceptual experiences. The nature of the contents posited in those views is the focus of this study. In the views that are discussed here, perceptual contents have been argued to be either conceptual, externalist, nonconceptual or particular. In this thesis, John McDowell is presented as the proponent of conceptual content, Jeff Speaks as the proponent of externalist content, Christopher Peacocke as the proponent of abstract nonconceptual contents, and Tim Crane as the proponent of particular nonconceptual content. The revised view of John McDowell, as well as th…
Pedagoģiskie risinājumi 5-6 gadu bērnu ar īpašām redzes vajadzībām matemātiskās kompetences attīstīšanai
2016
2017
Maģistra darba tēmas izvēli „Māsu izglītojošais darbs medicīniskās apaugļošanas klīnikās Latvijā” noteikusi tās aktualitāte veselības un sociālā jomā. Latvijā no 2012. gada ļoti veiksmīgi darbojas Valsts apmaksāta neauglības ārstēšanas programma.

The role of mothers' beliefs in students' self-concept of ability development
2018
The aim of this study was to investigate whether the child-related competence beliefs of mothers are associated with the development of Finnish adolescents' self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability during their transition from primary to lower secondary school and whether these associations depend on adolescents' level of performance. The results showed that, first, adolescents' self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability decreased over time. The impact of maternal beliefs on the linear trend of the self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability was dependent on the level of students' performance. Mothers' high beliefs buffered against the decrease in adolescents' self-concep…
Seizure Prediction Using EEG Channel Selection Method
2022
Seizure prediction using intracranial electroencephalogram (iEEG) is still challenging because of complicated signals in spatial and time domains. Feature selection in the spatial domain (i.e., channel selection) has been largely ignored in this field. Hence, in this paper, a novel approach of iEEG channel selection strategy combined with one-dimensional convolutional neural networks (1D-CNN) was presented for seizure prediction. First, 15-sec and 30-sec iEEG segments with an increasing number of channels (from one channel to all channels) were sequentially fed into 1D-CNN models for training and testing. Then, the channel case with the best classification rate was selected for each partici…
