Metaforu pieredzes lauku diahroniskā analīze publikācijās par Latviju

Valsts tēlveidei lietoto metaforu pētījumi ir piesaistījuši daudzu zinātnieku uzmanību, tomēr metaforu lietojums tieši Latvijai veltītajos rakstos nav daudz pētīts, tāpēc šim pētījumam tika izvirzīts mērķis noskaidrot, kā 15 gadu laikā ir mainījies Latvijas attēlojums plašsaziņas līdzekļos, un atklāt galvenās vērtības, kuras aktivizē metaforas. Pētījums tika veikts izmantojot kritisko metaforu analīzi un Metaforu identifikācijas procedūru. Pētījuma rezultāti uzrādīja, ka metaforām bieži bija negatīvas konotācijas, kas apstiprina Galtunga un Rūža (1965) apgalvojumu, ka mazāku nāciju attēlojums plašsaziņas līdzekļos bieži ir vērsts uz negativitāti. Banku sektors aizņem nozīmīgu vietu finanšu tirgū. Pēc 2008. gada finanšu krīzes ievērojami palielinājies banku sektora regulējums ar mērķi novērst krīzes katastrofālās sekas, nepieļaut to atkārtošanos, palielināt sabiedrības finanšu izglītību un apkarot baņķieru mantkārību. Brīvais tirgus kļuva par regulēto tirgu. We compared hip and wrist accelerometers with regard to their acceptability and any associations between PA and fatness and fitness. Methods. Environmental features in home neighborhood may motivate for higher physical activity, but the role of features around destinations is less known. Effect of temperature on anaerobic treatment of black water in UASB-septic tank systems

The effect of northern European seasonal temperature changes and low temperature on the performance of upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB)-septic tanks treating black water was studied. Three UASB-septic tanks were monitored with different operational parameters and at different temperatures. The results indicated the feasibility of the UASB-septic tank for (pre)treatment of black water at low temperatures with respect to removal of suspended solids and dissolved organic material. In countries suffering from chronic water shortages, water distribution systems are often operated on an intermittent basis. As a consequence, the network is involved by cyclical filling and emptying periods causing water quality degradation. During the emptying period, the distribution system is unpressurised and it may occur that pollutants move into the network. Moreover, the stagnation period can promote microbial growth. For this reason water is usually heavily chlorinated in order to maintain it potable.
