Sienkiewicz’s readers certainly known the writer’s favourite, archaically styled terms folga (“relief”, “respite”, “indulgence”) and folgować (“to follow”, “to allow”, “indulge someone/something”), etymologically derived from the German Folge (“consequence”, “result”, “aftermath”) and folgen (“to follow”, “to obey”, “to submit to”). They are found in Sienkiewicz’s texts more than seventy times, and not only in historical novels, where their use is motivated by the chronotope of the past. Industry 4.0 is largely data-driven nowadays. Owners of the data, on the one hand, want to get added value from the data by using remote artificial intelligence tools as services, on the other hand, they concern on privacy of their data within external premises. Ideal solution for this challenge would be such anonymization of the data, which makes the data safe in remote servers and, at the same time, leaves the opportunity for the machine learning algorithms to capture useful patterns from the data. Apes vietvārdi

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Apes vietvārdi”. Darba mērķis – iespējami vispusīga Apes pagasta un pilsētas vietvārdu analīze, izmantojot tam piemērotākos klasifikācijas veidus. Darba uzdevumos ietilpst apdzīvoto un neapdzīvoto vietu nosaukumu savākšana un to analīze. Bakalaura darbā analizēti aptuveni 265 autores savāktie Apes pagasta vietvārdi, no kuriem 87 analizēti jau agrāk. Apkopotais materiāls ir salīdzināts ar Jāņa Endzelīna ,,Latvijas PSR vietvārdu’’ I–II (1956, 1961), J. Endzelīna ,,Latvijas vietu vārdu’’ I (1922), kā arī ,,Latvijas vietvārdu vārdnīcasˮ visām līdz šim pieejamām četrām daļām.

Folkloras pētnieku un mākslinieku vidū vēl joprojām izskan atšķirīgi viedokļi par to, vai tradicionālās kultūras materiālos balstīta muzikāla jaunrade ir vēlama un kādiem būtu jābūt tās priekšnosacījumiem. Ir daudz spēcīgu argumentu, kādēļ tradīcija jāsaglabā neskarta, kamēr par populāru tendenci kļūst tradicionālās kultūras elementu izmantošana laikmetīgā daiļradē. Par darba apskates objektu izvēlēta Latvijas reģionam raksturīgas tradicionālas vokālās daudzbalsības - burdona - izmantošana dažādos mūsdienu mūzikas amatierierakstos, kas analizēti, un mērķis ir analizēt apskatītās mūzikas autoru motivāciju laikmetīgā mūzikā izmantot šo arhaisku tradīciju, kā arī raksturot attiecīgās kultūrkop…

La novela Tengo miedo, torero (2001) de Pedro Lemebel aborda la situación de la comunidad transgénero en Santiago de Chile bajo la dictadura de Augusto Pinochet. El gesto escriturario del autor apunta a la recuperación de la memoria histórica de su país desde el punto de vista de la parodia, la irrisión, la incongruencia y la suma de contrarios del oxímoron Camp. Characteristics of the translation product are often used in translation process research as predictors for cognitive load, and by extension translation difficulty. In the last decade, user-activity information such as eye-tracking data has been increasingly employed as an experimental tool for that purpose. In this paper, we take a similar approach. Teaching audio‑visual translation at the “French Philology level 0” course: methods, contents, clues
 In the face of a sensible diminution of the number of high‑school graduates able to communicate in French well enough to follow the “classical” French Philology course, many Polish universities offer their students the possibility of studying “French Philology level 0”. One of the key skills developed by this course is translation, including basic audio‑visual translation competences. The paper shows some examples of translator training clues that have been worked out at the Opole University.
