Restoration cases with hydrophytes (those which develop all their vital functions inside the water or very close to the water surface, e.g., flowering) are less abundant compared to those using emergent plants. Here, I synthesize the latest knowledge in wetland restoration based on revegetation with hydrophytes and stress common challenges and potential solutions. Etorikoksiba pārdošana un aprite Rēzeknes aptiekā pēdējos 3 gados

Nesteroīdie pretiekaisuma līdzekļi (NSPL) ir vieni no pieprasītākajām zālēm pasaulē. Etorikoksibs ir ļoti selektīvs COX-2 inhibitors, kas palīdz kontrolēt reimatoīdas sāpes. Pētījuma mērķis bija izanalizēt etorikoksiba patēriņu Rēzeknes aptiekā. Analīzei tika iegūta informācija no 294 receptēm. Rezultāti parādīja, ka Rēzeknes pilsētas iedzīvotāji aktīvi lieto etorikoksibu. Etorikoksibs galvenokārt ir pieprasīts sieviešu vidū. Pieprasītākā deva ir 90 mg, ko izmanto reimatoīda artrīta un ankilozējoša spondilīta gadijumā. Tika konstatēts, ka ārsti visbiezāk izraksta Bericox, bet lētākās zāles ir Etoricoxib Zentiva.

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a life-threatening complication, especially in case of recurrence. The appropriate duration of anticoagulant treatment following the first event is crucial. Risk factors that increase the risk of recurrence of VTE are many, and include medications, kidney disease, renal transplantation (RT), and a diagnosis of sickle cell disease (SCD). There are currently no guidelines that define the duration of anticoagulant therapy after the first event in a patient with RT. We report a case of recurring episodes of VTE after RT in a SCD patient. Hepatocyte transplantation, a step forward?

Hepatocyte transplantation emerged a few decades ago as a possible strategy to overcome some of the limitations of liver transplantation, among them the availability of organ donors and the functional quality of grafts. Nowadays, allogenic cell transplantation is still to be confirmed as a viable therapeutic option for patients with hereditary metabolic liver diseases. Although we have now overseen 5 decades of basic and animal research in the field, the number of successfully treated patients remains low. Limitations in cell engraftment and selective proliferation of transplanted cells remain a constraint to the generalized use of this therapeutic approach.
