Infective endocarditis (IE) is a potentially life-threatening disease. Regardless the improvements in IE management, it remains associated with high mortality and severe complications. Staphylococci and streptococci account for 80% of all IE cases. Prevention of IE by appropriate administration of antibiotics before procedures with potential bacteremia in selected patients is recommended according to recent and current guidelines. The doctoral thesis analyzes eight Venetian chronicles written c. 1340–1390. It looks into the transmission of these texts by examining their mutual relationships and by reconstructing the textual tradition of individual works. The research was conducted by using the book historical method in which an individual volume is examined from the perspective of textual history, its physical features and ownership history to give a global view of its genesis and functions. The method combines textual criticism and comparative textual analysis with codicological and palaeographical research. Objectives: A plethora of surgical strategies have been described to reach deeply lesions situated within the third ventricle, including the Rosenfeld or anterior transcallosal interfoniceal approach (TAIF). Firstly, introduced in 2001, it consists of a small callosotomy followed by the midline transseptal dissection of fornices to enter the roof of the third ventricle. Wprowadzenie: Celem badań było zweryfikowanie związku między częstotliwością i ilością spożywania alkoholu a postawą studentów wobec picia alkoholu. Materiał i metody: W poprzecznych badaniach ankietowych, z wykorzystaniem kwestionariusza PBS „Studenci 2004”, uczestniczyło 908 studentów drugiego roku studiów politechnicznych (w tym 30% kobiet) w wieku od 19 do 36 lat (M = 21,23; SD = 1,26). Wyniki: Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, że studentki piją znacząco mniej alkoholu i mają bardziej negatywne postawy wobec alkoholu aniżeli studenci.
