Darba mērķis bija izpētīt rauga Kluyveromyces lactis izmantošanas iespējas 2-feniletanola biosintēzē laktozi saturošos substrātos. Darbā tika noteikts piemērotākais K. lactis celms 2-feniletanola biosintēzei, tika izpētīta barotnes sastāva ietekme uz 2-PE producēšanu, 2-PE sintēzes dinamika fermentācijas laikā, K. lactis DSM 70799 2-feniletanola tolerance, kā arī tika veikta divfāžu ekstraktīvā fermentācija ar rapšu eļļu. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija izvērtēt industriāla substrāta – laktozi saturoša piena permeāta- izmantošanas iespējas 2-feniletanola biosintēzei ar rauga Kluyveromyces marxianus diviem celmiem- DSM 5422 un DSM 5418- un noskaidrot barotnes sastāva (pussintētiskā laktozes barotne, piena permeāta laktozes barotne, slāpekļa avota (amonija sulfāta), L-fenilalanīna koncentrācija) ietekmi uz 2-feniletanola producēšanu. Tika pierādīta piena permeāta kā oglekļa avota izmantošanas iespēja 2-feniletanola biosintēzei. In the “Sicilian study on juvenile myocardial infarction,” we had evaluated plasma viscosity (PV) and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) at the age of ⩽45 years. Now, we examined the relationship between these 2 parameters in 120 subjects (109 men and 11 women) aged ⩽45 years with recent AMI. A pilot experiment of stock enhancement based on the release of hatchery-reared juveniles of dusky grouper, Epinephelus marginatus, was carried out at two artificial reefs located 0.9 km offshore the south-western Sicilian coast (Central Mediterranean). The fish assemblages inhabiting the reefs were characterized using underwater visual census (UVC) surveys. Despite some differences in fish species richness, diversity and abundance, both artificial reefs provide suitable feeding resources and shelter opportunities for the settlement of dusky grouper juveniles. Following two consecutive years of West Nile virus (WNV) circulation in Italy, new foci of infection were observed in August 2010 in Sicily and Molise in southern and central Italy, respectively.
