Maģistra darba nosaukums ir "Kultūras reāliju tulkošana no latviešu uz angļu valodu tekstos par latviešu dzīvesstilu." Šajā darbā tiek iztirzāta kultūras reālijas definīcija un klasifikācija, kā arī galvenās problēmas un stratēģijas kā tulkot kultūras reāliju, un sasniegt līdzvērtību mērķa valodā. Is it possible to make a diagnosis of raw, heated and baked egg allergy in children using cut-offs? A systematic review

The diagnosis of IgE-mediated egg allergy lies both on a compatible clinical history and on the results of skin prick tests (SPTs) and IgEs levels. Both tests have good sensitivity but low specificity. For this reason, oral food challenge (OFC) is the ultimate gold standard for the diagnosis. The aim of this study was to systematically review the literature in order to identify, analyze, and synthesize the predictive value of SPT and specific IgEs both to egg white and to main egg allergens and to review the cutoffs suggested in the literature. Attālums, skata leņķis un mirkšķināšanas biežums darbā ar viedtālruni

Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 43 lapaspusēm, Tas satur 37 attēlus, 3 tabulas, 4 pielikumus un 49 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis: noskaidrot, kā tuvuma darba uzdevumi (lasīšana, spēles spēlēšana) ietekmē skatīšanās attālumu, skata leņķi un mirkšķināšanas biežumu, un novērtēt viedtālruņa lietošanas paradumus. Metode: pirmajā daļā 8 dalībnieki viedtālrunī veica lasīšanas un spēles uzdevumu, otrajā daļā 53 dalībnieki aizpildīja aptauju par viedtālruņa lietošanas paradumiem. The current and upcoming generation of Very Large Volume Neutrino Telescopes – collecting unprecedented quantities of neutrino events – can be used to explore subtle effects in oscillation physics, such as (but not restricted to) the neutrino mass ordering. The sensitivity of an experiment to these effects can be estimated from Monte Carlo simulations. With the high number of events that will be collected, there is a trade-off between the computational expense of running such simulations and the inherent statistical uncertainty in the determined values. Intrinsic backgrounds from Rn and Kr in the XENON100 experiment

In this paper, we describe the XENON100 data analyses used to assess the target-intrinsic background sources radon ([InlineMediaObject not available: see fulltext.]), thoron ([InlineMediaObject not available: see fulltext.]) and krypton ([InlineMediaObject not available: see fulltext.]). Time-domain effective-one-body gravitational waveforms for coalescing compact binaries with nonprecessing spins, tides and self-spin effects

We present TEOBResumS, a new effective-one-body (EOB) waveform model for nonprecessing (spin-aligned) and tidally interacting compact binaries.Spin-orbit and spin-spin effects are blended together by making use of the concept of centrifugal EOB radius. The point-mass sector through merger and ringdown is informed by numerical relativity (NR) simulations of binary black holes (BBH) computed with the SpEC and BAM codes.
