Perceptual contents : a study on the nature of the contents of perceptual experience

The aim of the thesis is to examine various views that have been advocated in contemporary discussions concerning the content of perceptual experiences. The nature of the contents posited in those views is the focus of this study. In the views that are discussed here, perceptual contents have been argued to be either conceptual, externalist, nonconceptual or particular. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt, kāds būtu vispiemērotākais pedagoģiskais risinājums (pieeja un procesi), lai bērni vecumā no 5-6 gadiem ar īpašām vizuālajām vajadzībām iegūtu matemātisko kompetenci. Pētījumā tiek aplūkoti skaitļa jēdziena teorētiskie pamati un analizēti skaitļu mācīšanās posmi un to nozīmīgums šajā vecumā. Matemātiskā domāšana attīstās, bērnam nodarbojoties ar matemātiku. Matemātiskajā jomā domāšanas stingrība ir būtiska pazīme jau no pirmās mācīšanās pieredzes. Ādas hromoforu kartēšana, izmantojot divu momentuzņēmumu metodi

Darba mērķis ir izstrādāt metodi, ar kuru īsā laika posmā var iegūt informāciju par hromoforu koncentrāciju sadalījumu ādā. Darbā tiek apskatītas vairākas ādas patoloģijas. Katra veidojuma analīzei tiek uzņemti divi attēli. Pirmais attēls tiek iegūts, ādu apgaismojot ar trīs dažādu viļņu garumu lāzeriem: 450nm, 525nm un 850nm. Savukārt otrs attēls tiek iegūts, ādu apgaismojot ar diviem dažādu viļņa garuma lāzeriem: 405nm un 656nm. Tālāk attēli tiek sadalīti R, G un B kanālos. Papildus tiek iegūti pieci references attēli, apgaismojot baltu lapu ar katru no lāzeriem. The role of mothers' beliefs in students' self-concept of ability development

The aim of this study was to investigate whether the child-related competence beliefs of mothers are associated with the development of Finnish adolescents' self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability during their transition from primary to lower secondary school and whether these associations depend on adolescents' level of performance. The results showed that, first, adolescents' self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability decreased over time. The impact of maternal beliefs on the linear trend of the self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability was dependent on the level of students' performance. AbstractAccording to the big-fish-little-pond effect (BFLP) model, high individual academic performance in a particular subject is related to high self-concept in that subject, whereas high average classroom performance has a negative effect on self-concept. In the present study, data from Finnish primary school students in grade 3 (504 students), grade 4 (487 students), and grade 6 (365 students) are used to examine whether the assumptions of the BFLP effect model hold already in primary school. ABSTRACTThis study was done to examine the transition of deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) and hearing students from the first cycle (Grade 4) to the second cycle (Grade 5) of primary education in Ethiopia. Academic achievement and self-concept were measured longitudinally with 103 DHH and hearing students.
